The cabin space seems to be smaller to me.

I actually think that might be photoshopped. I think this is the original.

Changed the rear pads on my Range Rover last night-easy job apart from the weight of the bloody wheels. Had it 11 years-would like another 11 !

I see what you folks mean about waxoyl being a bit shit, I applied this in September, after rust converter, and it's chipped off quite a bit. Bilt Hamber in future?

Oh, just noticed my back box has snapped off. I guess shitters way is to weld it (or string it up), but as I can't weld, new box time? This is on the Fusion - so it's my daily...and MOT next month

Mr exhaust says £70 fitted...http://www.mrexhaust.co.uk/exhausts/ford/fusion/16i-16v-06021104_1082.htm

(still need that oil seal done too, just need to nail down my mech man)

Had some new boots fitted to the Octy. It had just had new 205/40/17s fitted when I bought it, which have always looked gash on a car this size...

Holy arch gap Batman! A tad on the noisy side as well.

So wider, higher profile jobs were called for. The standard 205/50/17 size still makes the VRS look a bit under-tyred so went for 225/45s instead as fitted to Golf GTIs, Ibiza Cupras, and Audi TTS so are a nice period upgrade. #barried

Looks much nicer IMO. Rides a lot more comfortably too and the speedo actually reads correctly now!

How am I gonna get this old dealer sticker off then? 24 years of sun means it is virtually part of the glass!

With the Daimler out of action, I borrowed an XK150 for a Jaguar event. It broke down. I got the Daimler running again yesterday...

I'd just like to say I've never knowingly owned an XK150..

Having utterly failed to reach London, I'm now suffering the indignity of an Iveco Daily. It's a year old, and apparently the gearbox fell out of it the other week. The driver has been working since 3pm yesterday. Nice. Hope I don't die.

the mini is now fixed, and even put back together!

and just in bloody time too, cos we are going on the london to brighton run next weekend.

leaking heater matrix replaced, as is the snapped throttle cable, plus the carpets that were soppin' wet have dried out lovely in the FiL's green house.

so, one little car fixed, and one still slightly broken

that is still a win in my book :-D

Like the black front grill, might have to paint mine like that.

Scrape it with a Stanley knife blade then some paint thinners to remove the residue

Yesterday, I made the mistake of attempting a long journey in a nice car. It didn't end well. However, I did manage to grab this rather pleasant shot!

The day quickly got worse.

Three-hours in an Iveco. Nice.

It was nice to get back into the 2CV.

Got home ten hours after initially braking down, completely knackered.

I like the post, not the fact that you were stuck for hours in an iveco. But hey, at least they didn't try and setup an iveco relay race and dump you at a couple of service stations on the way - when my mates van packed in it took 4 or 5 trucks to get him back from Malvern to Rotherham because for whatever reason, none of the recovery trucks wanted to do more than 60 miles.

That's one of the restrictions I think on running without a tacho no more than xxx miles from base

Indeed. This chap reckoned he'd been working since the day before, so that tacho loophole gets fully exploited by the look of it...

Just been down to beaulieu for the spring autojumble. A bit disappointing really- got there at 9.20 and didn't even have to queue from the road, straight in to the first car park on the left. Then met by police who warned of pickpocket gangs operating!

Definitely smaller than it has been in May and fewer visitors too. All I really wanted was to buy/ order a proper carcover for the fiat, but there wasn't a single company there selling, which there has been other times.

There was a nice w124 coupe for sale in the lot area, but a 230 and he wanted nearly £6k. 126kmiles and No air con either.

In the end I bought a bit of rubber piping, some autoglym and a second hand dyane indicator switch for the 2cv. (They're metal not plastic). Nice weather though.

This steering wheel was wonky on the P6, could i get it off the shaft, leaving the nut finger tight just on the end of the thread? No. Could i get a puller on it by removing the nut and pissing about with some bolts for 30 minutes on said puller? No. Could i pull it off with one final tug whilst still having the nut of the shaft? Yes.

I've now got a lump on the side of my temple and a still wonky steering wheel...

I did that while removing a Fiat Uno steering wheel to fix a broken steering lock, all I could hear when I came round after bouncing it off my nose was the old man pissin himself laughing.

Filled the management's S90 up with diesel today when a blue 1500 Dolly pulled up, sounded epic and looked careworn but looked after, chatted with the owner and his wife, they are off to the south of France in it next week.

Down in Sidmouth today to see my parents - went down in the Smart. Really need to get the tracking done, as the slightly angled wheel really annoys me when cruising.

Spotted this lovely Morris on the high street. Very much a do not paint job.

Never take the nut off - schoolboy error that is
