.

It has its problems (Windows, for example) but will be priced accordingly. I would think £150 should do it, more details later when I've driven it.

Thank you...

Nice weather this afternoon in the westcountry. Had a meeting in Perranporth on the north Cornish coast. Most normal people would have taken a Merc convertible what with the weather and that whole first impressions counting thing; but because autoshite I decided the 740 was the car for me....

I bought this early last month:

Not had a BMW before apart from a pre-scene tax 2002tii in 2005. It's a 320td 150bhp Compact.

I'm currently in the process of changing the Death Grey interior with black one. The dashboard takes 30 minutes to take out woohoo.

Does anyone know if a coupe rear end interior (bench, carpet, etc) fits a Compact?

Engine out!!

DO NOT LIKE.

Poor LS400. :(

At least tell us the engine is going towards something really really silly.

^^^ Top work guys, those lexi v8s are wonderful ( and great value) pieces of engineering. All alloy and light for what they are I assume?

Bodged a radio into the Colt. Almost looks right for the age of the car

Will need to remove it and sort out the wiring for the right hand speaker at some point but it breaks the silence for now!

Yes the V8 is going in a Hilux.

If it makes it any easier, the LS was laid up for five years and pretty rotten in the floors.

Thanks for that. It has stemmed the tears. Slightly. I think my next purchase may have to be LS400 shaped.

No Cooper S for us it seems, Old Man is being a grumblecunt about £ and the mother is starting to feel reluctant to let go of what we know (and have been told) to be a very, very good example of a Bini.

Did we have a thread for snake oil treatments a while ago? If so, I have a contender....

The BGD has had one noisy tappet ever since purchase, only when first started after a day or two but it does tap away to itself quite merrily and rather spoils the ambiance... So, I bought some 'Wwynns oil treatment for noisy tappets' obviously that's not the real name but it's something like that but I can't recall properly because senile.

Bugger, indeed roger, me, it bloody works! All is now silent even after three days of inactivity.  What I want to know is: how does it work?

I think it has gunge-dissolving properties or something.

I know of one near me that may be for sale in the next few months. It's got really good* cambelt history (last receipt for a cambelt is from 2000).

Hey, would be an epic collection thread if nothing else!

If the price is right, and it's an early non-interference one, then the adventure may be on. Not yet though. The lady at my insurance company is starting to despair of me phoning her yet again...

Work swamped me. Work has now been done. Now I gotta catch up on all the bits I've been working on...

And it may be time for the hearse to depart this life - going to try a couple more MoT stations - but the SLK flew through as always.

Haaaa, no.

It's apparently a couple of months too new to be non-interference. Ask RantingYoof about it. He was the last owner before it made its way up here. Current owner is a friend of mine, 17-Coffees and RantingYoof but he isn't on here, and is generally veeeery quiet. So we have no idea about the cambelt. I kind of had dibs on this car but I'm having second thoughts about it now, due to potential explodey-bang driveway ornament.

Today I got my local Merc specialist to put my heap on the ramp and check my engine mounts after I replaced the gearbox mount yesterday. My car's a bit too modern for them really but I love going there.

It shared a workshop with this lovely Pagoda , even the same colour.
