Something a little different..

Intriguing...based on nothing more than intuition and what I can see of the keyboard layouts, I'm guessing terminals of some sort - Bulgarian VT100 clone(ish)?

This might be nearly as rare as my car.

When I first met my now wife she had one of these. A couple of dates in she gave me a lift in it. I repaid her generosity by writing my name in the dashboard dust.

Just got back from picking sprog #2 up from my parents when my mom put this in my hands.

Been looking for this for years, thought they’d thrown it out. Happy.

Got the new starter solenoid for the Zetor 2511 today.

 And it did fit!

And the only modification I had to make was to increase the holes on the connector on two of the cables from 8 to 10mm. And the starter works and it starts better than ever now so that's good. But had to turn off the engine immediately as the hand throttle has locked up.

So now the next problem is to get the steering wheel off something it doesn't want to and get the throttle lever loose.

Hope you left the nut on! Leaveing it under tension overnight?

Yes, of course I left the nut on, and yes left it under tension overnight and soaked it in penetrating oil.

Hopefully it will come loose, if not I'll have to think again or buy some tools.

You could have done the same on this one. It didn't look like it had moved in a while.

Snap! My ancient GPower lift gave up recently, and I couldn't find another ram anywhere, after the original defied all attempts at a rebuild.

Enter a £60 air over hydraulic ram from the 'bay, and a rewelded bottom mount, because mines got a single blade lower pin, and everything I could find was a fork, and it's fixed,

Good job, I've got a V8 to put in a range rover, a 2.9 V6 for a sierra, and numerous blocks etc to move around now.

Didn't realise how much I depended Om it untill it wasn't available

My guess is it is one of the SLR's Mclaren MSO took back to upgrade for customers.

Seven hundred pounds of shock absorbers that at best last 100k miles.

Usually these adaptive shocks are put onto exotic and high performance stuff. I honestly don't know Honda's motivation for putting them on just the back of a bog standard 1.8 petrol Civic Estate.

Ahh this explains why they are expensive and don't last...

You’ll have to be more specific.

Do you mean, buying a convertible, buying an Audi or parking like a twat?

I think it's perfectly sensible to take pot shots at people driving around citys in SUVs.  They aren't necessary for 98% of people in the countryside and make life less safe for the rest of us.

They make it easier by being complete shitheads most of the time, helpfully.

Not just SUVs to be fair,  people using vans as a daily driver are just as guilty of taking up more road/parking space and being more dangerous to pedestrians and cyclists.

And pickup drivers, and everyone else, your statement is a load of bollocks still.

On a cheerier note, next Saturday the 12th will be the next meeting of the Castle Donington Classic Car whatsit meeting.

See not just one, but two Scirocco in the street alongside, but only one with classy duo-tone coachwork. I'll be there again driving the 'classic antidote' and wearing no shoes. Some of you might pop along and say hello, unless you choose to take a shoddy attitude and ignore me. The postcode is DE74 2NR, it's from about 09:00 - 13:00 and there's baps & drinks etc. Full details here https://www.facebook.com/groups/580478069514566

Wrong fucking postcode, you'd all be round my house.

That used to be true.

TBF, it shows how high expectations have become when rear shocks on an estate needing replacement at 100k is a reason to moan.

Edit:- They used to be well less than half that price, but there was a drastic increase last year. I suppose original stocks ran out, and Sachs wanted more money to start the production line again.
