Toyota Carina e 1.8 GS 1996 Sold

This is now up for sale (to make way for a k11 micra!) Its a 1996 carina e 1.8 manual. It's a pretty tidy car, a little bit of lacquer peel and stone chipping here and there, wear on the drivers seat bolster. Drives well, nice light clutch, gearchange and brakes. There's occasionally a slight hesitation at around 2500 revs which is barely noticeable when it happens. Also the front electric windows are sticking. A decent reliable motor, but one too many for me at the moment. Shiters price £150. 3/4 of a tank of fuel at the mo and tyres all have good tread. MOT to Feb 2018

Located Tavistock, Devon

I was all over this til I saw you were the actual opposite end of the country

Such a great car; and a non interference engine, when the timing belt breaks just fit a new one

Bloody hell, I've always wanted one if these. Used to hang about with a mate who's parents had an early Carina e (K-reg I seem to recall).

I've no space or money, leaky Rover Sterling wi' KV6 any good?

Thort not. Ah well, good luck with sale.

Hey, let me march in with a completely unhelpful post too! Because that's an outright barg, and naturally I would, but another Japanese/British hybrid is currently eating all of my money. I predict someone will stump up the readies soon enough.

Yes but how would I get to Tavistock without costing a fortune!

Another HMC megabarg.  I've got one of these (also P reg with a plate ending in PB so might even have come from the same dealer) - they're incongruously good on fuel for a big old petrol barge, I get 45mpg out of mine on a run.

Split ticketing should sort that out?

The theme tune to One Foot in The Grave play in my head whenever I look at this car. :-D

For some reason the fuel filler flap has fallen off this yesterday the cap is still in place, and it seems easy enough to reattach the flap when I get time. True to form, this is the extent of its unreliability. Also comes with original Toyota radio cassette for all your 90s tapes to relive the glory days of the ultimate minicab.

Your price isn't far above what I got mine from an exporter (would have been more if I could have got it to him).

Surprisingly tail-happy in the wet.

We had one and we couldn't kill it.

Total bargain this, can't believe no one's bitten your hand off.

Bump for a price drop! Now £150 to a shiter. Also includes a magnetic "taxi" sign for the roof. You'll have to supply your own beaded seat cover though.

WOAH. I'm still trying to persuade my insurer to put this on a classic policy. I have one running for a car I sold last week, and am hoping for a call back tomorrow.

Holy fuck

I have -1 parking spaces otherwise I'd have your arm off! Unburstable motoring

If anyone needs this carting closer to them, I may be able to help.

Oh fuck, really 150 quid.. I'm going to phone my insurance in the morning!

At this rate you'll be paying someone to buy it off you! That's unbelievably cheap.

Ask me to gave you a run down for a Volvo-powered Collection Caper?

This tredd gives an opportunity to admit to a 'guilty secret'....

I love the ToMM© and, well, I never have to come on here and tell of FTP (no matter how comically I might illustrate it).

Since getting the car.... having it serviced & MOTd.... I have opened the bonnet TWICE  :o .

Yes!!... I opened it yesterday (on a whim) and... well... err... Perfectimmundo = 100% Levels  :(
