Rover 220 sli Roffle, All set for Sat draw !!

With a very heavy heart it's time for me to give up my custody of the Autoshite legend that is the Rover 220 Sli. Mrs Omegod has just taken delivery of a brand spanking SEAT Ateca and our trusty Fiesta is heading my way.

The history of the car is well known with at least 9 previous owners here and she has had much mechanical massaging to achieve the latest MOT. Track rod end,Trailing arm bush, wishbone,Brand new rear caliper,Hand brake cable, new battery, spark plugs and Sill welding. It has 10 months MOT remaining at least and will be taxed to the end of the month along with GYH insurance if you are quick.

I've loved owning her and she certainly get's under your skin somehow, comfier than anything I've had before, indecently quick for her age and miles of 154k on the clock but I believe the 820 engine fitted has a few more than that under it's belt. Her body blemishes are currently concealed by a few smears of filler to help with the MOT,

Faults: center pipe has a wee blow which I'll try to paste it, there's a little rumble from a front bearing and the drivers central locking solenoid doesn't work off the remote. I'll be getting the tracking redone this week as it's to cock following the MOT work. I'll add pics when I've given her a wash.

A couple of the many threads she has featured in, the first is by far the best and details Mr_bollox at his very best from page 16 onward.

Bargain. Reading the original Boll thread on RR reminded me just how much £££ and patience he threw at it initially after the engine work, then swap. This R8 has definitely had a charmed existence for a number of years!

no 28 if you would. (God knows why I'm having a go, as no room and already interested in another car on here)

However always try and take no. 28 in roffles so have to keep up the routine.

No I'm not addicted to Auto shite :)

Well happy to be corrected, but just added up as above and appears to be 40 numbers taken already.

Don't sweat it'll ll work out in the end, I might have a big hangover in the morning after Everton's big win but will sort it :-D
