ruffgeezer Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 How fuckin' much? Tam, Junkman and eddyramrod 3
trigger Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 Shame someone's obviously bought it to make a few quid, they will struggle at even £995 though i think.
strangeangel Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 It's great and everything, but how is that worth a grand
Jon Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I wonder if 100 like minded Shiters donated it to stixy at £9.95 a pop, for safe care and storage? Ultimate Autoshite loan car. Dick Cheeseburger 1
matty879 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 if you look beyond the bodywork its an apealling car, well its exactly the sort of thing I would consider, priced to high though
xkjagnz Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 $995 Jeez Maybe $9.95 if they chucked in some mints and there was some change under the seat!
trigger Posted March 28, 2016 Author Posted March 28, 2016 I think it looked better with the roof rack. 1983 Ford Sierra 1.6 (base model) by Sim B, on Flickr Junkman, Angrydicky, CGSB and 4 others 7
For Fiats Sake Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 a one hundredth share in a shonky old sierra.....tempting! Complete with RABBI SATAN'S AIRFILTER and bonus BANSAI BATTERY! Tadhg Tiogar, Skizzer, Coprolalia and 16 others 19
Urko Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 The bodywork is the appealing bit. That F/OS wheel arch/wing damage is a work of art - no conceivable collision could have caused that. Junkman, strangeangel and RayMK 3
Mr A Lawrence Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I can see the RS and XR owners climbing over themselves to rape that for parts for their cars!!
Bren Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Needs photoshopping onto a white background. An extra 0 on price 'cos of the grey grille.
vulgalour Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 A real Ford enthusiast will purchase that at the asking and preserve it as it is or restore it to as-new. Unfortunately, no such person really exists so this will likely now be ruined. Cleon-Fonte, Rusty_Rocket, Dick Cheeseburger and 9 others 12
rml2345 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 That really needs to be bought by the National Trust and preserved for future generations. We can turn up on Sunday afternoons and enjoy guided tours of a miserable old Ford. egg, dugong, rob88h and 7 others 10
Ghosty Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 The replacement front plate still has the protective blue plastic on it Banger Kenny, egg, trigger and 1 other 4
BorniteIdentity Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Not a 1.3? Ahm oot. warren t claim, Banger Kenny and paulscavalier 3
Cavcraft Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'd pay close to that if I could afford it, it's flipping brilliant. danthecapriman, mouseflakes, Junkman and 2 others 5
fordperv Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Hnnnnggg I have so much want for that, if I had space I would
Tamworthbay Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I would love it to add to my collection of one y reg ford but at about half that price. Skizzer 1
Split_Pin Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Sadly, that is doomed at the hands of the philistines with their stupid RS etc plans. I love this car and personally I think it is worth the asking price. mouseflakes, HMC, pilninggas and 2 others 5
2MB Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 a one hundredth share in a shonky old sierra.....tempting! Complete with SATAN'S AIRFILTER and bonus BANSAI BATTERY!That's the Star of David, not Satan vulgalour and Lacquer Peel 2
HillmanImp Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 How about a roffle? It would be £16.86 a ticket. A London based Shiter could collect the money and go and rescue te car? vulgalour 1
Skizzer Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Too many monies, I fear. If it were sub £700 I could just about imagine me buying it, running it for a while for shits'n'giggles then raffling it at an acceptable loss, but a bag is too much and so is £16-odd a ticket. trigger, eddyramrod and Junkman 3
trigger Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 The price will drop after a few weeks and no takers I suspect.. Cavcraft, holbeck, Dick Cheeseburger and 2 others 5
scruff Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 That is great!!! Just an observation but some people on here are proper blinkered!! For every RS licker there's a "proper enthusiast" (whatever that is) who will put the effort in to restore to factory spec, just try and turn your wanky prejudices off and have a look around and some of the restos and auctions over the past couple of years. Dave_Q, Vin, mercrocker and 1 other 4
Skizzer Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'm not sure who you're accusing of wanky prejudice. We're just saying it's overpriced. If you want to pay that for it, knock yourself out pal. JohnK, Junkman, Dick Cheeseburger and 1 other 4
cort16 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I don't think the price is outside the realms of feasibility given how rare it is. Even though it looks knocked around it appears to be quite solid. Vin 1
lisbon_road Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I simply cannot remember the last time I saw a grey grilled Sierra. A very very long time ago. It is a bit expensive, but when you consider restoration cost, what difference does a couple of hundred make? Bit grim with 4 speed box though.
inconsistant Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 egg, mrbenn, For Fiats Sake and 15 others 18

I don't want a Ford Sierra. I just find it funny people think everyone after an old Ford is gonna ruin it.
