With the ubiquitous empty nitrous bottle underneath

IMG-20230223-WA0004.jpg

286,000 miles when last tested in July 2009 - an almost-consistent average of 30,000 miles a year in its lifetime on the road. Of course, 'nothing for one of these', as the dodgy sellers say.

What is strange is that, while this obviously came off the road some time in 2010 and has been parked up since, DVLA say the logbook was last changed in May 2012. How can this be possible?

Could be as simple as changing hands from husband to wife, father to son etc at the same address

Very late S280 so at least not a huge loss.

Going by the dirt line beside it, this Civic has been sat there for a while

The NSR wing suggests that it is indeed. Sad it's just sitting there.

Where's the worst place in the world to abandon a vehicle?  This rusty Renault Master has been sat by the red entrance doors of the Frimley Park Hospital A&E unit for over 2 weeks (that I know of, probably longer).  Exactly where you unload emergency patients.  It says Kent & Medway NHS on the van but Frimley is in Surrey.  GK08ZFB.  It's not an ambulance.

Yeah, but I think there's an NHS tax class so might be legit.

In a compound near me. The Discovery has an impressive array of aerials. The Snowmobile one of many.

Also I think that’s when the V5 logbook design changed and everyone was issued with a new one?

Nah NHS tax class still needs to be (or at least CAN be) applied for I believe - My old blood bikes Octavia was NHS tax class and showed as taxed online.

Suzuki or Mazda kei van dumped on a dump behind a house that's just down the road from me.

a rescue project for Mrs @dollywobbler ? I know she is a big fan of them and it would make great channel content :)

Can't remember if I posted these two, festering in a small car park - but they're still there

I've shown this before. I don't mind car hoarding but the neighbours must hate all the other crap everywhere

Get onto Environmental Health at the council. You shouldn’t have to live next door to such shit .Tell them you’ve seen rats there too.

Not my area - funny enough I saw the bloke as I was going the other way, old boy of course. Seems he collects all the litter from the local area, so the streets are tidy but his property looks like that

Posted

Amazed the council haven’t got involved about that front garden full of what is effectively household waste.

Great numberplate on the Proton though!

Bizarrely the MoT only ran out last year, and it's taxed! I've been driving past it for a few years and it never looked roadworthy

Posted

Unsurprisingly, the Proton is still with its original owner, and appears to have worn that plate from new. Only 22k at the last test, he barely used it looking at the annual mileages.

This Nissan Micra has been down the end of my road for about 2 years. The pic was taken in 2021. Still in the same spot now but all tyres are flat, covered in moss and someone has booted one of the mirrors off

A little update on this, I saw the owner and a man with a recovery truck loading it on the back of said truck, apparently its having work done it at a local garage. I will try and find it when I go out on a walk next!
