Ever get the feeling @hairnetwas struggling to contain himself? I got a definite sense of overload!

Such a shame. His few words are hilarity.

A long car journey with him is confusing, amusing, and memorable - in equal parts!

Yesterday the AX owners at the show decided to have an impromptu photo call, I am glad my light blue AX14TRS was amongst such a splendid line up.

Hoping to come along to FoD at weekend. Have pm'd Chris and my discretion is assured. Think I've worked out where to go to from Google Maps. Any tips on what to bring along?Am guessing a chair come in handy. Hoping to bring the Renault 25 along for its first longish trip in my custody.

Bring a mug for your tea/coffee and whatever you'd like to eat for your lunch/breakfast/etc.  We have plenty of chairs and provide fresh water and the means to make hot drinks, also there are usually some snacks like crisps and biscuits. On the Saturday evening, dinner is usually a take-out from the fish and chip shop and/or the kebab/pizza shop. You are welcome to bring your own food for dinner too, if you prefer. Some folk like to bring a BBQ and do sausages, burgers etc.

It is all good news today!

My BMW 323i has passed it MOT with just a dodgy brake light switch replaced.

Our Chrysler Sebring has been marooned in the middle of the drive as a non starter for over a week and today I tried something new. My next door neighbour works in the racing car industry and today he was taking the turbos off his 2009 BMW 123d. While I have not had much contact with him I asked if he had a decent code reading tool. Yes and handed me a Snap-on case, then the instructions about using different adapter links started and and I went for full cheek mode and asked him round to plug it in himself. Plugging it in did not tell us much because it is a 2002 car so he did a couple of basic checks that the injectors were firing etc. He noticed that the coil packs earth was lose and cleaned and tightened that. He also disconnected the fuel line to reveal it was pumping plenty of fuel. Now it starts just fine, he thinks it could have been the earth for the coil packs or the fuel pressure regulator is dirty and little used so has become sticky.

Anyway thank you and well done Steve my neighbour.

one other thing id recommend is if you have a bad back or difficulty/pain walking etc

I would recommend bringing along some form of personal transport to get around the FoD, a small car or Mobility scooter capable of running on grass, as there can be quite a lot of walking about as groups of shitters move from one car to another!

something i found out the hard way when my Invacar left the FoD and I realised I suddenly had no personal transport!

speaking of back pain, just as a heads up incase anyone was planning on talking to me or giving me lightbulbs or something! I sadly wont be at this FoD gathering as I decided in the end it is best I use the weekend to rest and save my back for my up coming driving test on Tuesday the 21st

just figured id give the heads up! :)

I hope thats not too much of an inconvenience to anyone!

Hope to bring Tiddles to Sundays FoD for a couple of hours,  Saturday is off because I have to visit the dentist to have what remains of a snapped tooth removed 💀.  @LightBulbFun Good luck with your test. 😅

I may be able to visit Saturday now, depending on family wishes.

I’m a doubtful… we have a load to do at the house, and running out of weekends where there is enough heat and light to do anything… I’ll likely make the final decision at the very last minute!
