How many Shiters does it take to changefix a lightbulbhorn fuse?

Well you need one to poke and prod the wiring.

One to read the manual...

It's no hope guvnor, it doesn't say so in here.

One to operate the horn switch.

And then somehow, you add 1+1+1 and end up with eight!

ahhh the look of "HAHA IM GOING TO FUCKING DIE! LOL" that thing flat out across the FoD is the sketchiest 6.25 miles an hour I have ever experienced LOL

not helped by the fact the throttle control on it is 0% 5% 100%! so when you turn the power all the way up you ease the throttle leaver in "slowly  slowly *click goes a relay* aaahh!!!"

still Pissing myself laughing at that photo  so ridiculous LOL

You need to get used to it is all. I can have it on full power on the dial and in 6.25 mph mode and still go slow enough to maneuver around a very busy Ingoldmells market without hurting myself or others!

Good to meet you folks again too,thanks also to Mr and Mrs cylinder. I left the field with a quarter of a tank and made it nearly home before I filled up. The price of fuel down south brought a tear to my eye!

On a smooth surface, it's fine to be fair. It might be that we have seized rear leafs, but if you hit a pothole or a dip/ramp in the surface it is pretty rough. Most of the problem is that I have quite significant tension in my upper back and shoulders, and holding myself upright in the seat really makes it flare up after an hour or so as the seat back only reaches to just below my shoulders.

We also don't have inertia reels (yet), just fixed belts, so we lose the slight bit of cornering support you get from a 3 pointer.

It's more likely I'm just a weirdo TBF. Although the seats do seem different on mine (more sculpted), although I would doubt enough to make anything other than a cosmetic difference.

@Crackers's Landy was very awesome, really hope someday ill have the chance to drive one to see how truly awful it is  just sitting in it stationary the gearshift was something all on its own LOL, I will say a surprisingly comfortable place to sit, im sure its not in motion, but just sitting there going nowhere its far more comfortable then most moderns I Have been in, when did lose the ability to make seats rather then funny shaped ironing boards...

there was an impressive lineup of cars  

and many thanks to @bub2006 who lent me use of his Mobility scooter for me to get around the FoD on in lieu of REV not being available, it very much made a big difference and it was nice to be able to follow the group (although I do notice that no ones mowed the grass around poor dolly!)

as mentioned above, the Ami was a shed load of fun  (its also really good at being a good comfortable  car when driven gently as well, not many cars can be both fun driven flat out and ride well and comfortably when driven sedately as well)

I can very much get why @dollywobbler gets very frustrated at tourists on his welsh roads, as we got got stuck behind this Audi

"your in a big expensive car why are you breaking for these corners that we can  take flat out in our 1970's 602cc French car! and need to do so to conserve our momentum! "

(although I will admit the Ami sounds very nice when you drop it from 4th to 3rd and mash you foot to the floor)

and it was very awesome to have a go on the FoD Railway and electric locomotive

I was not sure what to expect, but whatever i was expecting, it was far better then those expectations, I really look forward to when the line is completed and we get a full train on the go

And with a practical head on @Six-cylinder, now the container is spotless*, what are the next steps with it?

I'll bring some G101 and many cloths and get the roof wiped down but bar a few cobwebs at the end the worst is out. 

Could come a bit prepared and tooled up next time if we have a plan, did you say you had racking it just needed cutting down to fit?

Thanks for all your prep work in the container. The next step is to cut down the shelving uprights so they fit.

The other thing I would like to do next time is empty and clean the Vauxhall Royal. Also to see if we can start it. I will then decide if I am going to get it back on the road myself or sell it on.

How slow did you have to have the shutter speed for that picture!!  Measureable in weeks I assume?

(actually, with a complete lack of EXIF data, I'm going to guess at 1/10 or maybe even a bit slower.  And with the ISO on about 2 and the apeture on about f/50 to compensate for ALL THE LIGHT getting to the sensor.)

The pretty metal valve caps on the Alfa 156 had bonded to the valve threads and trying to get them off I twisted the centre out of a valve. I booked it with a local tyre centre to have 4 new valves and  gingerly drove it there not knowing how much pressure was in the tyres.

He then pointed out 3 were at the end of their lives and the forth was half worn and old.

The result is 4 new Matadors as that was all he had in stock.

I have now bought a big bag of plastic valve caps!

Actually, not too slow. 1/40, F20, ISO 100. It doesn't take much to get that much blur on any moving object, however a faster movement or slower shutter speed will obviously give you a much better blur on the background. 

This was 1/25 on a 55mph vehicle and you can see the difference in the background.

And yes.  This was 1/20s with a car at 70+mph:

The difference between focus motion blur at the nose and tail is remarkable.  I like how it looks!

How they actually did it was we moved a shit load of cars to completely clear out the long straight of the FoD. Then slowsilver drove the lawnmower with the camera on it at top speed and they timed the motion blur from that to coincide with when lbf rolled along into the shot. Worked on the 3rd try

Was quite a spectacle. Then we had to move all the bloody cars back 😡
