They came in blue too.

The add says this is a rare colour. Here is maybe the same one. The image below was taken in South Wales. The advert says the car is located in SW too.

Vauxhall Nova Antibes E877UAT

Is that Charles Bronson at the wheel?

Mini 1275GT for more money than any other on ebay atm, but with all sorts of silly stuff going on such as the graphics, wrong seats, wrong steering wheel, blacked out chrome all over the place, wheel spats it doesn't need, body colour subframes... I could go on or am I just too fussy?

It's very tidily restored but too much chintz and colour coded tat stuck on that it doesn't need. All that's missing is a vinyl printed MINI on the boot in some modern font like comic sans.

Not quite so glamorous in close up.

Also were Minis really made like this? No wonder they fell to bits after a couple of salty winters.

Great guy Issigonis - but really?

We had a Mini in the 60's - subframe fell off and my Grandad had a huge row with the garage.

25k...

Very much so, unless you’re actually planning to drop 25 grand on it. What does it matter to you?

It doesn't matter in the slightest to me you are right, however it wouldn't be much of a thread if no one commented on this sort of thing. The point being there are some much more original looking and tidy 1275GTs on ebay at the moment for about £5k less.

But why should it matter to you, commenting on an overpriced car on a thread that was made for commenting on overpriced cars, on a forum about  generally underpriced cars. 🤣

My least favourite ad of 2021 and it's a "meer" £4k. This feels like it was written by estate agents.

Let's start with dealership ad bingo:

Very Hard To Find In this Condition

Un-molested

Supplied By Wayside Vw St Albans To Doctor Jeremy Luke In April 2004

Built When Cars Did What They Said On The Tin !!!

This Car Is Not Concourse, Nor A Garage Queen

I was just thinking the same.

The whole ‘Dr owned’ thing is a load of bollocks anyway.

Highly stressful job, long hours…they’d be forgiven for missing services, washing the car etc. What makes Drs any more of a safe bet?

Yeh, a Dr lives two doors away from me, nice bloke, but no common sense at all haha

Wasn't the LEJOG hero Montego 1.3 estate originally 'doctor owned'?

So what we might deduce is that the Passat above has been retro fitted with a 3 cylinder Polo engine?

Fortunately GDPR doesn't legislate against using the names of fictional characters

There is car salesman on YT High-peaks  (or som et like hat) from somewhere near the Peak District who would seem to have adverts like this. I have not watched him for some time I do remember him but his waffling about his stock this would be right up his ally.

I might have to bookmark West Border Cars for future monitoring.

Clearly a bunch of chancers, and very, very fond of capitalisation.

Here's another corker; a seventeen year-old Beetle Convertible (1.6) that was apparently previously owned by a beige lady.

Customer testimonial about West Border Cars, that they definitely* didn't write themselves:

"I bought a car from this dealership yesterday and I have nothing else to say except that they were professional. I visited 6 other dealerships before viewing a car here and they did everything to make me feel at ease and Have confidence with them. I had a lovely gentleman called Rob, and nothing was too much trouble for him. I’m in love with my new car and the service they provided was exceptional! I highly recommend them and if you’re looking for a genuine place to buy your next car, then you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again for such excellent and piece of mind service. Tanya"

The company I was working for until August bought a genuine 1980s HMWVV to do a project for the US military for £13k, do I'm not sure why you'd pay £10k for that piece of crap.

I dread to think how much they've paid out for it in total. 😲
