Been quite ill today.

Decided to back board up as usual this afternoon,but managed to overwrite wrong database by mistake resulting in losing all posts/new members etc since august 5.

This is an unrecoverable error & it goes without saying that i am extremely sorry and upset regarding this.

Don't worry about it, I work in IT too and have had that 'oh shit' moment more than once, it's so easily done and everyone does it!  Like the others have said, it's just a few posts, no worries. 

 

On the down side, krujoe needs to bring vulgalour's brother's Rover R8 back but on the plus side VA will also have to go back to the black interior on the Golf.  And yes, DW will have to take the Merc back.  It's the only sensible thing to do.

Just in case anyone's struggling to visualise what's happened, I will try to explain it in layman's terms. 

 

It is like that time in 1998 when you thought you had put a blank tape in the machine to record new episodes of Friends and Frasier, but it turned out to be your meticulously edited Eurotrash highlights tape. Right at the very start of the tape there were a few fleeing frames of Antoine de Caunes introducing a segment about Danish women who have taken to painting with their boobs, but alas it is all gone. 

 

It is an unrecoverable error and it goes without saying that you remain extremely sorry and upset about that tape.

I have managed to preserve and re-post some lost pages. If you can be bothered to look, do it before you close the tabs in your browser, check to see if the pages are still alive in your history, find the thread in the forum as it is now (new tab), copy, paste and post.

 

(PS: it may not come back if you go via 'History', keep all tabs open, and before you close them, hold down the back button, pages visited will then show.)

have to admit that i had a bad nights sleep over it.

will  go over forum and see if its caused any errors today.

I already know photo problem cause so thats easy.

Going to take start of my tablets mountain for day,with several cups of coffee then take a look.
