I ventured up to the rough end of the village earlier and found these Mongrels on the same street.

I was surprised to see this when walking the dog on Monday, it looked fantastic and like new, very clean.

Is there a reason why these are always yellow?

Yes, they were available in yellow, yellow and yellow.

Or as an extra cost yellow.

I found this on the dog walk this morning. Somebody here also has, a 75 and MGF so I'm guessing it's connected to those.

Of note to me because of the BD02 reg. I owned a BD02 ZT-T. BD02 HWS. It was a former West Mids Ambulance Service Rapid Response Vehicle and registered by MGR themselves.

They were only ever made in yellow (yellow steering wheel, dashboard, seats, trim, gearstick, mirror covers, bumpers, wings-in fact everything was yellow!) with ONE exception, which was in a ghastly lime green! The whole idea was to change Skoda from the image of a "sensible" or "boring" car company to one that could produce.... THIS! The name, the frog symbol (as in "a princess kisses a frog and it turns into something handsome") and the almost lunatic rear seat arrangement shouted FUN! As has been said before, Skoda UK couldn't have enough of them so much so that more were manufactured than was originally planned. Mine did a stratospheric mileage before I sold it on. I believe it's still running around, complete with the S 300 FUN number!

Sadly, it seems not:
