Meanwhile down on the industrial estate/boatyard this Range Rover that has been here for a couple of years has now been joined by this Talbot Express

It has a bit of a really obvious list to one side too.

Not really spots, but I think some on here might appreciate them. The Daihatsu F20 Taft was absolutely amazing!

I driven one of those Daihatsus, a diesel so that would make it an F50?

By a country mile, the worst thing I have ever driven. Leaf springs at at four corners, gave an excellent impression of a kangaroo however smooth you were with clutch or brakes. The engine was really noisy for absolutely no performance although it would pull a pretty big trailer when required.

Lovin' those Subaru Brats! The Daihatsu looks like an early Suzuki equivalent that had a 2-stroke engine. I think TWC's owner did a test drive in one a few years ago, but my memory might be playing tricks!

Thanks for that info.

But bloody hell £108K - no thanks. I mean imagine what a nice actual classic (or fleet of) you could have for that much.

I took my driving test in a 1994 Hyundai Accent identical to this, bloody hated it then, expect they still arent great. I was advised to use the instructors car and not my own Dyane, wish i hadnt listened.

I ran one of those Mitsubishi Canters when I worked for Green Flag. They were great trucks. Far better than the Iveco's that were the alternative.

An Austin Champ! Built by Austin & sold to the Army during the 1960s. Five geared Rolls Royce engine and more comfortable than a Land Rover (according to "Which", who compared a Champ, a Land Rover and a Gipsy)

Truck, 1/4 Ton, 4×4, GS, Austin  if you don't mind!

They were issued in the 1950s, all with drawn from Army service by 1968.

Also, My Father assures me that they land on their front bumper and tumble, when you jump them over a hump back bridge,

when the drunk of an Officer orders you to drive faster so he can get back to drinkies in the Mess.

( Father was put on a Charge and found Not Guilty, as obeying an Order).
