An Austin Champ! Built by Austin & sold to the Army during the 1960s. Five geared Rolls Royce engine and more comfortable than a Land Rover (according to "Which", who compared a Champ, a Land Rover and a Gipsy)

My dad said it had 5 forward gears and 5 reverse. Thus speeding can be achieved in reverse too.

He liked them more soldi than series 1 Land Rovers, But some gremlins put an end to them being used more frequently.

I had a Champ back in the 70's and mine only had 4 gears. Separate reverse box so as fast forwards as backwards. Weak spot was the back axle as the power for all four wheels went through it.

Was for sale at £3,500 on FB back in 2023. Was then just under 18,000 miles and had been off-road since 1992. Good to see it being used.

There was a N10  Cherry on a driveway in Exmouth for a long time and that was  the same colour. I did wonder if it might be this one?

Shame about the number plates 😫

This one was being driven by a very attractive, young lady.

I asked the bloke what's the deal with this Renner?

"It's fucked you don't want it, it's not even a turbo. "

Was at the pub at the weekend and saw this Consul approaching. I grabbed my phone, spun round quickly and took a photo as it drove past.

Without trying, I'd also managed to pap this Toyota Liteace coming the other way.

I see what they were trying to do, but it’s not a patch on James Hunt or Sennas JPS Lotus is it really, I mean, how good does this look in comparison ?

I wasn't sure if they were actually trying to recreate the JPS scheme (fail) or just had no taste (double fail) .

As is often the case, the MOTest garage in Reading had something interesting when I collected my BMW today.

I’d assumed it was the Peterborough between Melbourne and Adelaide.
