All red paint fades but Vauxhall red paint fades more. All the Vauxhalls at our office (Combos and Vivaros) are much more pogweaseled than the Peugeots of a similar age. All Vauxhall Paint Is Shit etc... richardmorris and High Jetter 2
TheIsleofShite Posted June 28, 2025 Posted June 28, 2025 A JDM oddity High Jetter, Dayno, Remspoor and 1 other 4
urpert Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 Bizarrely I saw two of these today: Gompo and Dyslexic Viking 2
WillCarter Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 This has just appeared in the street next to mine. No MOT on record and untaxed in 19 years. I've left a note offering him off road parking. It's the least he deserves for such heroics behaviour. Remspoor, Wibble, Gompo and 13 others 16
Morris 63 Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 Bimbling around the lake district again, spotted this Vauxhall Monterey (Isuzu Bighorn?) in Eskdale, and chatted to the nice lady with the tidy Mk2 Shogun that she's had since new. She says it's on around 100,000 miles, and she has a friend repair the front bumper every so often as she keeps catching it on their narrow driveway stone gatepost! Datsuncog, Dyslexic Viking, Remspoor and 3 others 6

Split_Pin Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 Definitely not so many of these around my hotel now. This is the Tofas Dogan which means 'Eagle' and is the higher range model. The Sahin ('Hawk') is the next model down. I've not seen any Toros here either, after seeing lots on the drive from the airport. There is also a Tipo but it will be the same one I snapped 2 years ago. mk2_craig, Remspoor, RobT and 5 others 8

Andrew353w Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Not so much a "lazy spot", more a project with which I've been asked to assist.... For reasons of delicacy the number plate's been covered, but, rest assured, it's a series 1 Land Rover. In an afternoon's tinkering I've discovered a seized block, so there's mountain of work ahead of both me and the owner! 500tops, High Jetter, Remspoor and 3 others 6

I'll be in touch if there's anything specific I need. At the moment we're hunting down the starting handle, buried somewhere in a garage full of "stuff", with a view to exerting some "gentle persuasion" on the block, having poured a load of oil down the plugs yesterday. PS. Love the "parts cat"! High Jetter 1

Split_Pin Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 I took a wander down the end of the road to where I had spotted some prime chod 2 years ago. Only this 9 was there: There were two more Tofas down a couple of side roads plus a Toros but them I stumbled upon this belter outside 'ASDAA' supermarket. This is a much older Tofas, a Kartal, probably early 90s, still with the 131 front end. The estate body is unrelated to the Panorama, instead it's a Turkish design. Clearly a shop hack, holed sill and absolutely hanging but obviously still very much in use. I love cars like this, hopelessly outdated even when new yet still on the road in 2025 and being useful.
