Crikey - is that a recent release? Wonder if that's just an admin exercise on Mattel's part just to keep the trademark ticking over, or if they've something in the works...

Also printed Dinky and dated 2007 on rear of card

Tray of wonders, then...

These are gonna be priced separately, though very likely less than what was paid!

20200508_101924.thumb.jpg.247aea98fd343b91278b3c3c0ab7f2b2.jpg

Front row first, then:

Odd little Corgi 'fantasy' breakdown truck, in fairly good shape still.

20200503_183819.thumb.jpg.4d0edd7bb7e9b062880934a69d38463f.jpg

50p on this one!

Matchbox Superkings DAFs - the bronzey-green one is the site building truck (without the building, more's the pity), the bright green one's the freight loader.

20200503_183605.thumb.jpg.06953ab60f7572c7750902c459e52100.jpg

20200503_183625.thumb.jpg.ff5471f2d7df906f8303caeea502b220.jpg

50p each! **SOLD!!!**

(Turns out they're basically duplicates - thought I'd sold my original version, but apparently not)

20200503_183528.thumb.jpg.5d33c062dca6319ae1ce289ba50e18a7.jpg

Thompson Mongoose, by Dinky. **SOLD!!**

20200507_151852.thumb.jpg.ca1d19143e9fc8e0d06ec291b2b5ebee.jpg

Amazingly low-slung model, just a shame about the missing frunk lid.

20200507_151820.thumb.jpg.bb28812d40783aa7c9df1149c664f841.jpg

Cracking detailing, too.

Leyland Roadrunner - **SOLD!!**

20200503_183208.thumb.jpg.333af3a393f4f0b497c60591ea998de2.jpg

The trailer's not correct for this cab, but hey - it looks alright, I think.

Superkings Ford A-Series cab (the inflated Transit) - originally would have been paired with the powerboat trailer.

20200503_183939.thumb.jpg.411770e992304041e9e7dde055519cd8.jpg

20200503_183955.thumb.jpg.5a0b9e0c790484d7a54a01aacaa2e134.jpg

50p!

Big tinplate Buddy L, that's been customised with scratch-built rear wheel housing and the addition of clear glazing and a driver.

I think it's meant to be a Freightliner, maybe?

20200503_183124.thumb.jpg.e824110c81435f8bf659745022b84b62.jpg

20200503_183145.thumb.jpg.944c4faf345dcc263da2879c65d87cdf.jpg

Bought from the Charity Stall at the same time as that fantastic silver Polistil VW Polo; think I paid £1 for it, any takers? **SOLD!!!**

Corgi Transporter trailer:

20200503_183411.thumb.jpg.e10658cce025d2896c15ec99f5df6a93.jpg

20200503_183503.thumb.jpg.eecb3df2ba51667fd11baf3732239f8f.jpg

The drawbar on this has been literally hanging by a thread for years; right after I took these pics, it broke.

I know some of you diecast pervs quite like these as multi-tier display items, so any interest at 50p?

Matchbox Battle Kings APC:

20200504_094043.thumb.jpg.28782c9adabf4caf940f6fd474d5bc34.jpg

20200504_094114.thumb.jpg.fcd30e9567355fd1353f109b2b6fc167.jpg

20200504_094134.thumb.jpg.207d52ace84c8b5bb899f77969916449.jpg

A bit of toybox wear, and the plastic 'canvas' cover has gone AWOL, but the rubber tracks are present and correct - 50p adds this to your own batallion!

Mildly FUBAR'd Siku Mercedes 2232... **SOLD!!**

20200503_183645.thumb.jpg.c864c910b414f5b9dc6d9c549e3853af.jpg

20200503_183706.thumb.jpg.046f3a354112989ad6397cc13db53125.jpg

20200503_183724.thumb.jpg.69b4462e0a70c8a3d98ab4c98d68ba3e.jpg

Some cab squashage, and the front window's been knocked out, but a brave resto project? Trailer hitch mechanism still works, and I pulled the most hideous lumps of hair and thread out of the axles, so you don't have to.

50p again!

Superkings Bedford TM skip truck, in Hales livery.

20200504_093952.thumb.jpg.b009b58a19d408f4f7a23e5a92be2047.jpg

20200504_094016.thumb.jpg.91440163977c299e6c2b01d8d013b7a5.jpg

I gave this a scrub after taking the pics, so it looks a lot better now!

Once again, 50p takes this one.

Majorette Ford Cabover **SOLD!!**

20200503_183836.thumb.jpg.9b407cb3d077f9c9fe3e8d43f78fec4f.jpg

20200503_183853.thumb.jpg.934fb46f78fa89a9a926392eaac5e401.jpg

Going by the remains of the spoiler sticker, I think this originally pulled a horsebox.

20200503_183917.thumb.jpg.c80d84b7cddff8df6187e0336db06b93.jpg

50p!

Late Superfast-era Superkings Dodge horse box:

20200503_183225.thumb.jpg.1eb84c40715ed79d4d02720aac53d7b0.jpg

20200503_183241.thumb.jpg.41f08476699f8b9517ede71b89d4d841.jpg

Doors are intact but the top glazing has been knocked out, and there's been some damage to the base which has rendered it somewhat shonky.

20200503_183258.thumb.jpg.80c791a8677a9f4a137d51a4a83bc78e.jpg

50p takes this one, so you can stroke your chin and look at it too.

(I have the earlier version - NFS, but interesting to compare the two.)

20200503_183353.thumb.jpg.c383e0a55fd49a956da9700ae5b4aa15.jpg

20200503_183327.thumb.jpg.098b199cb0d2c41926b62c4d84a86d20.jpg

And finally, though it probably should have a post all to itself - the Nacoral Fiat 500 from earlier in the year.

20200503_181139.thumb.jpg.0790fa8aa7189684ed2b4da377d229df.jpg

It's a lovely little thing, but just not a scale I go in for these days.

It's missing its rally decals, but otherwise is complete and in very nice shape.

I don't much wish to recall exactly what I spent on it, but it was bought in the spirit of helping out a new business, so I'm punting it on here for £10.

More to follow (maybe not straight away, though! I've a feeling I'm going to be collared to do some domestic duties...)

Ok thanks

Think it's best I leave Guildsman for someone else then

I'll share the Rockets Whizzwheels Mangustas and Healey with Bunglebus Creations Inc.  Awful to split just for the wheels but perhaps that's the tat resto business reality.

Also what do you have in your bone yards?  I'm after:

- Wild motors of the type Lonesome Lonesome lost.  Any scale, any condition.

- Hot wheels red and blackline wheels and axles, any condition.

- Corgi and Dinky sixties wheels that had tyres (note to self: contact @eddyramrod about those bases with wheels on).

- DeLorean in 1:1 scale.

- an airbrush if someone has one spare.  Even on loan.

- Oddball stuff the size of that Buddy L truck above that look vaguely like the real thing. Made in Hong Kong brands a speciality. Plastic, tin, mazak, whatever.

- The chance to see an early manuscript for the forthcoming book 'Life in die-casts' ghost-written by Datsun Cog Laverty.

Thanks

I really only want Rcokets wheels if they're really good - so if they're not I'd rather someone had the complete car.

I spent a few hours working on little cars today, before the appeal of sitting on my arse with a beer in the garden prior to firing up the barbecue got the better of me.

The not-a-Corgi R5 Turbo lost it's non-functioning pullback motor and gaudy colour scheme, gained some Speedkings wheels and new paint. Kept the nuclear red interior though as silver/red is one of my favourite combos

Eagle-eyed shiters will notice I grew a pair, and detailed the rear vents during the photoshoot. Chickened out with the other vents and ducts though

I've recently started on this, which is a reboxed Heller kit.

Just like an aircraft kit I started with the cockpit, which is as detailed as some larger scale kits I've got in the stash. Doing the silver trim on the door panels was a bit tricky though.

Unusually for a small scale car with a closed bonnet an engine is supplied. It only has four parts but looks OK when painted up.

The wheels are around the same size as a 5p piece so took a steady hand to paint.

Good luck with the Jaguar! They offer a few interesting subjects in this range.

I have the 1:43 scale Princess to finish off at some point. Nothing big left on it, but my eyesight struggles with the diddy size of things needing to be detailed so it'll have to wait until I can get some appropriate specs sorted out.

I bought the set with the Escort, Herald and Viva back in 2006 and built most of the Escort before moving house and losing the box.. About the same time I was in the Viva owners club and someone was doing a resin piece to make the Viva into an SL90 (grille and rear panel I think) but I can't remember whether I got one. It'll all turn up one day..

Two newcomers this week.

IMG_20200509_123016.thumb.jpg.9b65f12597f4f88177efedbe12dc2991.jpg

Joal SEAT 850 and a Solido XM.

Unfortunately by far the better side of the latter as the glass is cracked down the other side. Even with that, and no box, it still cost me £16 on auction.

Also I'm not sure if it's just me, but there is a lot of stuff going for higher than normal on eBay at the moment. I went through a period of two weeks being outbid and not winning....

Yes I think they would be handy

As there are doubles, could be shared across AS Minature Modelling Shiters.

Although, I unearthed a load recently and pretty much every tin was dried out inside....

[more Post Lady in recent weeks catch up]

Corgi VW Hot Rod at last and for only a couple of quid unlike many seen in recent weeks...

Two Hot Wheels '37 Ford Pass'n Gasser in separate lots.  I was surprised they are such a recent (2008) release, perhaps I was confused by another similar model such as the '36 Ford Neet Streeter.  Either way, I've got them both now so will fondle each for a bit and decide which one to keep.

Also a Hot Wheels Redline re-release (2002) of the '32 Ford Vicky on the cheap too

Alright but it's been fourteen years and three house moves since I last laid eyes on any of it so I hope you're not on the edge of your seat..

Found this in the shed a couple of weeks ago, probably bought from Beatties in Birmingham around twenty years ago. No idea why it never got built, all seems to be there.  It's supposed to piss down tomorrow so I may go and see whether there's enough old half finished Humbrols kicking about to at least throw the engine & interior together.

Some more diecast restoration going on...

1673044057_Rims014.thumb.jpg.4e7b1a2bedd807735ef22e7618fd7348.jpg

After their caustic bath!

1508150327_Rims020.thumb.jpg.affa621e42dd5b9efe2ce07198c3f334.jpg

And here they are in primer.  The red Citroen was ready before I managed to get hold of grey primer, so I used some red I had lying around.  Now I need a suitable topcoat for it; I'm thinking maroon, which I don't have in stock.  Some of the others have received a coat of gloss this morning.
