That box design definitely looks familiar now I’ve seen it. I’m 99% sure that Cambridge came in the same style box.

Oxford Diecast Austin Princess. 
A really nice model this. I might open it up and add a bit more detail to the interior moulding though.

 
Fiat Ritmo/Strada. 
Another one that might benefit from a tiny bit more detail painting to the interior.

 
And a weird one! A Fiat Croma.

All but the Austin are the cheapo partwork versions of the models so do come with the usual paintwork flaws (you can see them on the two Fiats most) but being cheap means they lend themselves well to custom models. Although I do quite like that blue on the Strada.

Stands up well against Oxford's offering.

But I've drawn a blank on the Minx. No name on the base and I can't find any mention of anyone making a 1/76 kit of one.

However, much excite was had when I found B case Hot Wheels in Poundland 

This goes nicely with the Daytona:

Really like the mad treatment of this one

New Dirt Drift Box casting taking inspiration from various hot hatches, I see Renault 5 mostly

Another new casting, I quite like these tooned ones although I'm not 100% sure it works on a Pagani. Nice textured plastic doing a good impression of carbon fibre though

Totally not an RX-7

Only got this for the lucky cat

Happy days, but unfortunately she also wants to go into Tesco on the way home *sigh*

I actually had the heads-up they'd restocked, but I didn't know it was a new mix. I do know there are a few more boxes tucked away for a future visit...

A charity shop tub netted me a few oldies that I felt sorry for

Thought this was a Majorette Bernard but it's a Yatming

Model A looked better before the application of an ultra sticky price label to the roof

This was once quite a nice looking Maisto Heni Cuda 

This Maisto Mercedes casting isn't one I've had before, it's not brilliant but it does have an opening bit 

Darda Mini is really unusual, and I had to buy a box of absolute junk to get it

More deliveries today included the latest CMC job

I have got an original of this - somewhere 

Lastly, @danthecapriman sent the remnants from his sales, I've got a lot of them already but there are some nice bits in there, such as the usual green pickup

This will come in very handy for a project I have on the go at the moment 

This is one I've never actually found, for some reason the Matchbox '57 Thunderbird is quite elusive 

The more common Corgi was also in there for a quick comparison

Came away with just the Durango (with comedy towbar) and Barry Trotter 105E with fake rust.

That's unreal, the Muazli Marzuki unboxing vid on the B case was only out three weeks ago - usually it's months before they make it from Malaysia to UK shelves.

The new ( as in 3 days open) Smyths in Southampton has already got signs of being picked apart by scalpers but I was pleased to come across these two.

A shame everywhere else is so terrible. I am utterly convinced every single toy shop (especially the Entertainer) is hoarding stock for scalpers locally. I shouldn't really care, it keeps my spending in check, but seeing the same old crummy mainlines time and time again is getting so boring.

2026 Hot Wheels!

A Case found in Poundland. Not the most inspiring  case they've ever done IMO  but found a few that caught my fancy,

Always liked this casting. I think this one's the Treasure Hunt too. (Not even looked at the card)

This is my favourite one of the lot, a cracking new casting.

They'd also had a restock of Matchbox, but it was the mix with the red Duetto and beige Volvo that we've already seen. Tescotainer had a new Matchbox case in but it was mostly the same as the previous one, the only new additions were the yellow Fiat 500X, an orange Toyota Hilux and a mud splattered Chevy Colorado. Sadly it seemed to be the mix before the one bunglebus found with the Celica and Civic.

Little Matchbox next, scored some absolute beauties today. There was a tub full of commercials with some decent ones to be found

No-one loves these but I enjoyed them as a kid

Found some boxed ones from a regular seller, who was telling me there had also been a blue Cortina available earlier....

Gruesome has of course lost an engine, but donors are plentiful

Those I've just put away for now, I need to go through them properly and decide what I'm keeping. It was a fair chunk of change buying 29 in one go, but a relative bargain per car having had a look at how much those Martoys go for. They were what swayed me to be honest, they Porsches and Audi especially. I'm not a bit collector of the larger stuff, but I knew they were definitely worth getting
