Is the purple Land Rover still available please? It'd replace the one I had as a youngster, which fell to bits but I think is still knocking around in component form somewhere at the bottom of my son's old toy box. Do you still have that Corgi Jaguar XJ-C I paid for a long time ago, thinking I would add something to it?

I had the Ford camper when I was young, it survived well as I had it in my later years. Strangely it was many years before I realised it was a Mazda in disguise.

I used to like that Matchbox Volvo F10...?

I didn't have the cable drum version. The one I had was red with a blue Lion's cage on the back.

Yup, the purple Land Rover is indeed available - and the blue Jag coupe is still safely tucked away for you. Happy to pair them up and send them over to you!

Alternatively, I'll soon be posting up a bit of a clear-out, so if you fancy holding off in case anything of interest crops up, that's not a bother.

Funnily enough, I had a similar green pickup version of the Land Rover which managed to fall to bits - think the baseplate and rivets parted company.

Probably a bit late to write to Watchdog, now...

He's very resourceful is our eddy.

Not sure about the new guy though,he looks a bit dodgy.

My Scooby had an extra 15 miles on the clock and smelled a bit hot when I went to pick it up.

Yes please!  To the 240z.

I was kicking myself for being busy on the first Tat Friday of 2020 and I needn't have worried, your shite diecast memory stepped in to save the day. I also owe you for that SD1, let me know the total including p&p and I'll fire off a payment , unless you're happy to keep adding to my box of 70, s Corgis.

Hey, good stuff - and happy to add the 240Z to the SD1 and hold until desired.

There's also that metallic blue Corgi Mercedes 350 SL from a few weeks back  - I know I overpaid slightly for it, but I've had a month or two's enjoyment of it now, and I reckon it's time to move it on at a more realistic price.

No obligation at all, but you'd mentioned you were after one - so wanted to give you first refusal on this at £7.

Heh, no worries! Will set that one aside for you too, thanks!

I know... I'm like a diecast junkie-pusher down here - the tragedy is that my primary motivation for charging into work early on my day off was so I could sneak away and poke through the tat box, not to ensure the smooth running of government at a time of national crisis... priorities, right?

That said, if the NI Assembly does get back on its feet - as apparently is imminent, tomorrow - I'm afraid that as of Monday I may have rather less free time to conduct my, ahem, personal research projects...

Can't really complain, mind. The diecast musings on here (and the Ford Timelord thread) is pretty much what happens when a professional researcher is left in a research vacuum due to a collapse of political institutions - so I guess I've kinda been keeping my skills honed, in a self-directed manner?

Nissan Concept not too bad; Corgi Turbos SAAB 9000 and Porsche 911 were very clean. And what's that down there?

Not the cleanest casting (look at the back arch), but unusual 'Talbot Matra Murena' marketed by Mattel/Hot Wheels, presumably from an old Polistil casting.

I'm rather fond of those Mebetoys/Hot Wheels if it re-appears next week - what's the orange #8 car? *edit* Nissan 270X, grab this if you can please!

Taturday... is cancelled this week, I'm afraid.  I don't blame him tbh, his stall is outside and it would have been slashing down when he was to set up.

That’s an early TR7. I had one but ended up actually repainting it in Matt black.

Funnily enough, my dad did the same to mine about 35 years ago!

Here my haul.

I got two Escorts as OMGSceneTaxYo might mean keeping a boxed one might be a good idea.

The Chevy Nova is for my littlun as he's been obsessed with the Hyperdrive series on Netflix lately.

The Mustang is a nice little model, I'm impressed with it

Sure thing - Ford Camper for your good self, and I'll move the Planet Scout over to the box for@sierraman

There were two Nissan 270Xs in the box, so with a bit of luck there'll still be one left by next week! Equally, the Mattel Matra might be a bit niche for some - fingers crossed it's still there. He's probably looking about the £3 mark for each, I'd guess.

I had a couple of those Mattel models back in the early 80s, which I always mentally bracketed in with my 1/43 Bburagos as they seemed so similar in terms of construction - a blue Chevrolet Corvette with yellow sticker graphics, a plain gold Pontiac Firebird, and a white VW Golf Cabrio with red rally-style graphics. I get the feeling there was one more which I can't quite recall - for some reason, when I think of them I think of a twin pack. Never clocked the Murena before, though!

Are the Peugeot 205 and Citroen Dyane available? WLTM if possible

Yup, both available - though I have a yellow Dyane already set aside for you, so I'll see which one is in better condition!

Those 1/43 'Hotwheels' are interesting. I never worked out who actually made them though.

I got and still have a BMW 635Csi in blue with red stickers. Some were already affixed and made of plastic and some you had to stick on yourself, as per a 1/24 Bburago, but were paper-based. Very odd all round. I also had a rather awful Polistil VW Golf MK1 with huge scoops and skirts with just a sticker for the lights and grille. I must have liked it a bit as I remember playing with it in our front wall. There seemed to be a whole range like this.

I also had a 1/24 Fiat Uno 5 door in brown, again made in Italy but Hot Wheels branded.

Going back a bit in time, I have a chunky but pleasant Volvo 343 with much better detail and quality which I got in 2006. It has Hotwheels branding again and the same for it's box but again, made in Italy. I'm thinking Mebetoys? Martoys if I recall correctly became Bburago.

I have that Matra Murena too, it fair does appeal to me because of it's oddball Italian origins.

Just a couple of pictures of the Mustang, as I really like it.
