I have not posted for a while. However, I do read the topics quite often.
My camper is surplus to requirements. I have just put it up on the dreaded ebay. If anyone is interested let me know. I would settle for around the starting price

mossymossy got a reaction from M'coli in FOR SALE: Peugeot 106 XN D
I am selling this Peugeot 106 on behalf of my son. He bought it in January 2015 and was going to use it as a cheap everyday runner to and from work. He used it everyday throughout Spring to end of Autumn in 2015. However he missed his other runner, a Mazda Demio too much and then sorned the Peugeot in winter 2015.  The car was totally reliable during that period. In May 2016 I decided to get it back on the road, washed it and took it for an MOT. It passed with just one advisory (nearside inner wing corroded). This has since been sorted out as you can see with the photos.

The car is a base model, windey windows, no power steering, no airbag and no ABS, less to go wrong. Bodywork is great and the engine has done 95000 miles. It drives great and has many thousands of miles left in it.

It does have some faults. Fuel gauge intermittent (very). We have been filling up to full and resetting the trip, doing 250 miles and refilling. I think it takes around 20 litres or less to fill up at this mileage. Paintwork is faded on the roof and starting to fade on the bonnet. The previous owner in the past was either washing the windscreen or scraping ice off it and has put some scratches on the screen. There is a small split in the driver's seat squab. There are a few small marks and dents.

Now for some good points. All the tyres are in good condition (loads of tread), including the spare wheel which is filthy but looks like it has never been used. Very recent oil and filter change. No paperwork proof but the previous owner assured us that the following work had very recently been done on it:
New cam belt New brake pipes and shoes all round New front driveshaft New rear wheel cylinders Two new front tyres New Alternator New windscreen washer pump This is a great car, ideal starter car, really economical.

    Looking for £500.

If you are interested, message me or give me a call on 07712206397.

I didn't get anything Autoshitty this year, but I got the missus this: Its a 4.5 inch shell casing dug up from a field in Ypres. I thought it might be the appropriate thing to display our tower of London poppy in. I didn't know whether to clean it or not, In the end decided not to. It's still got traces of mud in it. When she opened the present. There was a wtf moment, and then I started to explain. Holding it in her hand she suddenly got a bit tearful. I felt quite moved myself.

Had a fail moment this morning. Missus car is due a service. Spot of nice weather first thing. So I made a start. Woops, there's a hole in my bucket. Approx three litres of oil to clean up.

Quite some time ago I took my A4 for its MOT. My Mot-er is a grand lad. He said to me you need to look at the rear exhaust box hanger. "Its fooked". Then he gave me a pass certificate. Well it wasn't raining this morning, so have a look I did.
A bit pushed for time I cobbled this together in an hour, from the original fence posts in our garden. I didn't bother to paint it because it's survived 60+ years in the ground. Bloody good steel that welsh stuff.
Anyway, job done. Just should have done it sooner.
