End of year Tat Accounts.

It's been 3 years since there was any change in my fleet so good to have an inner this year:

This was a little shit this year, would not flipping run right AT ALL

IMG_2214.JPG

It's staying but the engine can GTF. Hopefully, if funds allow, it will get the heart transplant that it has been crying out for. I'm thinking of having a fuckit sort of a time and have something slightly tickled shoehorned in. It depends on what I can find.

Chevy will be OOT next year as the finance is up and I will replace it with another similar car for my wife and son.

Astra will continue as is, doing few miles but still being enjoyed.

2.0 8v for the corsa?

I want a Sam Glover calendar.

Seeing that lot is like going for a jog then having Mo Farah woosh past. There are some great cars on here but that set is, literally, awesome.

Edit: ...as are the photos. What on earth is going on with the building the Corvair is parked in, for a start?

I have no idea what engine you could put in the Corsa :)

2016 was the year of the Peugeot for me, with February, March and April all bringing Peugeots to the fold; one of those has left (beige 205 to craigtheprincess's mate), one is still to be collected (03-plate 406 - deposit paid in July but still sitting here!) whilst the ex WilsonWilson 270k-mile P-reg 406 estate still provides sterling service. Also in was a P-reg Volvo 850 2.5-10v auto which is nice ans wafty.

In addition to the 205 (and hopefully the 406 saloon) leaving, out were the raffle find 760 Turbo and my old 940LPT, both for scrap, and a lovely Volvo 343GL variomatic which Skizzer may still have.

Current fleet as below:

1983 Volvo 345DL (2014-present) - likely to be scrapped this year

1988 Volvo 745GLE (Council Estate, 2012-present) - still running and being useful

1989 Volvo 745GLE (2014-present) - ex Gary Cox, HGF and lax mechanics mean the engine is now toast. Likely to be scrapped unfortunately.

1989 Vauxhall Cavalier (2008-present) - catastrophically rotten

1996 Peugeot 406 2.1TD (2016-present) - daily drive

1996 Volvo 850 2.5S (2016-present) - backup daily

1999 Kia Pride SX (2015-present) - fresh MOT as of today

Doubt I'll buy anything else this year so I suspect that's my end of year done.

Out:

Rover 820 Sterling (R203 XOG) Now owned by a fellow licker and shit collector (not on this forum)

Jaguar X300 Sovereign (XJI 5505) Now owned by Captain Slow

In:

Honda Accord SE Exec (OV52 LPK) New daily

Jaguar X308 Sovereign (R373 DVV) Days off and long distance car.

Quite sensible and predictable really! All in all a good year for me and shite, two have gone to very good homes where their survival and well being is secured, and I'm very happy with my current motors. I think I'll settle with these two for a while.

Wonderful. I may need a word...

Anyway, my accounts. Carried over from 2015.

XM, having survived over a year on the fleet at this point. Didn't make it to the end of 2016 though.

1919482_10153922123243200_55079090931940

Dyane, undergoing a winter engine rebuild. Sold when the 2CV project took off.

12540944_10153912247903200_4856797301931

Nippa, heading on for a year of ownership itself. Still here.

12795460_10153995615813200_8438508484257

Oh, and this old wreck. Off the road and in storage. Still here.

In and Out

Prelude. I'd always wanted one, and it didn't disappoint really, other than the ride and lack of practicality. I bought it from phil_lihp, then ROFFLEd it to JohnDeere. Here is driving off in it.

1505528_10154075181998200_29715767034963

Caravan. Bloody stupid idea. I don't like caravans. Did is proud for Shitefest though.

12936561_10154079084258200_7873890140700

RAV4. Bonny little thing this. Replaced the XM, and did a pretty decent job of it. Was certainly better at towing the caravan, which surprised me. Sold to a friend just last month.

13240711_10154202881363200_8321918031892

Mitsubishi Colt. Another Autoshite bike. I bought it from RobT, then ROFFLEd it to Kiltox. Not a bad little thing really, but wasn't ticking the boxes for me.

14192796_10154465745273200_9084728943349

Rover 600 diesel. I've always wanted a 600. The ride in this one sadly deflated my dreams somewhat, but it took us to France very nicely. Then it blew its gearbox to bits on the way to Shitemondeley.

IN

Honda S-MX. The biggest surprise of 2016. Wasn't really what I was looking for, but ticks a great many boxes. I still love it, despite the shite handling and fidgety ride. Can't see this going anywhere. (famous last words!)

15032323_10154691702088200_4982549480708

Citroen ZX. Wasn't looking for another diesel Citroen, but won this in a ROFFLE (my first win!). Drives really nicely, has the most pleasant gearchange of any PSA car I've ever driven, and the clutch is pleasant too! Can't really see a good reason to sell this either. Let's see how it does for the MOT next year...

15492623_10154798386003200_1155397908721

Honourable mention: The 2CV has ended the year very differently to how it began it - considerably less rotten!

Mr Wobbler of Dollies, I'm curious.

That weird rail thing that extends up a grassy bank and is present in so many of your photos - what is it?

Is it your weird rail thing? If so, have you added it, or was it on your property when you moved in?

Does it go anywhere?

Does it serve a purpose?

Haven't you seen his YouTube videos where he slides down it on his skateboard?

It's a full on giffer-rail fitted for the previous occupant. I would remove it, but it has saved me from landing on my arse a few times. I could at least paint it I guess...

Out went the inaugural driving school Fiesta, to a good home I'm glad to say. I'd had enough of driving massive distances on its tiny, albeit leather seats, but I miss its character and frugal performance.

In came:

The Xm of several club-Xm members, which has already given enjoyment out of proportion with its humble purchase price

A Badermatic Corsa C that has yet to be given a chance to prove its worth

What stayed:

The Christ-LeVoyager

The Presidential Renner

The Folkarse of dreariness

The ever faithful camper

And two things under tarps that are not to be spoken of.

Does it?

Check the bottom of page 5 for Wilsonx2's 2016 tat account and nearer the top of page 6 for mine.

Ah yes, using my eyes would indeed help!

My favourite part of your post is the red 'SPORTS' line around the Volcane's bumpers.

And even though I know it caused massive issues for Wilsonx2, the S80 looks mighty fine.

Also, I use this thread to my favour when people say my 16 cars in 12 years is excessive. :-D
