vulgalour Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Well. Here we go again. It all made perfect sense at the time. You know, before it broke and was on an unattended recovery because there's absolutely no way my health will allow me to wait in the cold for [insert period of time here] because the vehicle in question is [insert ridiculous amount of distance away here] and I need to get back home for work. It will now be delivered to my home within five working days. I had it all planned out, and back up plans, and thank goodness for that because I had to use them. I'll tell you what it is when it gets here... There's a tiny handful of people who know what it is, the rest of you are free to guess. One clue: It's not a Rover P4 MorrisItalSLX, GrumpiusMaximus, Rustybullethole and 15 others 14 4

Stanky Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Its the electric Rover R8 isn't it? And the plan fell apart because three of the Halfords battery chargers in the boot had got damp in them and wouldn't charge properly, reducing your range between charges from 12 miles to 8. 😁😁😁 And the 5 working days is because the AA refused to tow it, but are contractually bound to recover it to a place of your choosing - so the AA recovery man has to drive it from Swindon to Newcastle, leap-frogging the Rover and his caddy van between tacho breaks? vulgalour Posted December 2, 2024 Author Posted December 2, 2024 I can tell you it's not an AX, I like them just not the driving position. Nor is it a P6, another favourite of mine, nor JET1. @Stanky gets internet points for making me belly laugh. privatewire, Hawkeyethenoo and Stanky 2 1

Well it's certainly better looking than the pink abomination they've shown as the concept car. JLR have a reputation for showing concepts that they insist aren't going into production.
