charlie2555
March 1983 Ford Cortina- last one built in July 1982. Also a Carousel edition, which were mostly on W and X plates. Not particularly late, I know, but it is still running 30 years on too, which is nice! Junkman, vulgalour, Shep Shepherd and 6 others

flat4alfa
Rover P6 on a Y plate...IMG_1108.JPG You're looking at Mike Renault's car, the Classics Magazine staffer. He's had that many years and its trials and tribulerations have been detailed over the years in the Mag. He calls it Christine She's a left hand drive Rover P6 sold new in Switzerland and driven through France, Germany Spain and Portugal (not necessarily in that order.) She came to London in 1982, then to the Isle of Wight where after her owner had died, I bought her from a scrapyard for £20. Making me her second owner. That Cav used to live in my town, and I'd see it regularly...... I always said to myself, If I see a forsale sign in it them im buying it....... looks like I missed out, as I spotted it heading out of town early January, possibly for the last time Now im sad On a plus note, I used to work with a bloke who owns a Discovery 1 300tdi on a 52plate... Had been sat in the factory 4 years after it was built and he bought it direct but had to take it to a local landrover dealer to be registered! Asimo
This shite was a 1971. I was so dazzled by the N plate that I never looked at the V5 (or whatever it was called in 1981) and bought it for £300.It was completely shagged, with sills made from concrete and chicken wire. Sold for £40 after two months.I have no idea why it was registered so late.

mat_the_cat
M Reg! Or was Don't think I have seen one later than an L reg one. There's an N reg one in existence, which is actually for sale at the moment! All the more unusual being a hatchback, which finished in 1992 (estates went on until 1994). EssDeeWon
Not recently but I used to always see a Rosso red MK4 Escort RS Turbo with a prefix 'S' registration. Was always hoping to see the owner and be nosey enough to ask whats going on with the plate. I did double take the first time I saw it and it was defo S*** *** which would make it 1998?
