twosmoke300 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Last Dodge SpaceVan was made 1983 so I expect a few were registered in 84 at least bigstraight6 1
Joey spud Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I was transported to school in a Y plated Dodge spacevan minibus back in 1983. The small minibus/taxi company also ran a matching N reg Commer version too. The Y plated one had replaced a J plated CF Dormobile minibus. It did look a bit dated to be wearing a Y plate to be fair. bigstraight6 1

mk2_craig Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Have we talked about mondeo mk2s yet? Someone I worked with owned this circa 2004. I believe it is now EN51OOY Brodders 1
forbeslongden Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Facebook comes up with another Irish oddity, left the factory in 2002, didn't get registered until 2006 apparently...
dc2100k Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Alright so I got a bollocking for the last car I posted here so I’ll try a bit harder: MKT, JeeExEll and Matty 3
Vinylseats Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 I've been wondering if lockdown and the ensuing lack of new car sales and resulting surplus stock is going to create a whole lot of new and exciting late registration madness. Are we going to find cars such as the previous model Peugeot 208s and Corsas on 70 and 21 registrations? LightBulbFun, Eyersey1234 and holbeck 3
dc2100k Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Another late-reg Chrysler group motor... R was 76/77 I think .

dc2100k Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Yes R is late 76 early 77. I’ve never seen an R registered Imp though, and the ‘Caledonian’ run out special was on a P if I recall correctly.

Mr Laurence Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Spotted on Facebook; an S-Reg Mk1 Mx5 Looks like it’s Mariner Blue too, a colour they dropped in about 1993.

Soundwave Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Near where I live, there's an X plate Mk1 MX5. I'll try and get a note of its reg next time I'm around there, I've never seen it leave the owner's driveway so I'm hesitant to take a pic. (I personally don't like photographing cars on owners' driveways, I've always seen it as a bit invasive.)

I'm not sure of the situation now but IIRC about 20 years ago it cost less in import taxes etc to import to NI first then bring into Britain as a car coming from NI isn't classed as an import Mr Laurence and LightBulbFun 1 1
brownnova Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I spotted a P-Reg Talbot Express shaped Camper in Rhyl (think it was a Ducato, but not sure). Gutted I was driving and didn’t get a picture... they stopped making them in 94!
