Its 36yrs old.

I've owned one before.

Waiting for my luxurious lift to arrive.

Unfortunately Mrs Imp has taken ImpJrs car seat so I can't go anywhere yet. FFS

I thoroughly approve of the mode of transport for this mission.

I'm also slightly annoyed that I appear to be just about the only shiter who hasn't bought a car within the last two days.

I'm sure you will rectify that situation shortly.

Thanks to @TheIsleofShite for putting this on the ebay tat thread.

Now to see if it makes it home.

Fantastic! Pleased that someone approves of my eye for tat in the classifieds, glorious purchase.

Wholly approve the of the purchase.

Entirely uneventful drive up with Fam Imp. We parted company at the sellers, as I was taking the opportunity to visit Friends in Saltburn on the way back.

Chod Speed! Hope it gets you back safe!

Ooof. Lovely chod. RWD Volvo's are great. I thoroughly enjoyed my late 240. It was a bit thirsty when fuel was up around £1.80 though 🥲

Fantastic!  I had one identical to that (year, colour, engine, spec) years ago as a tow car - it had 318,000 miles on the clock when I bought it but it still happily dragged a Brian James tilt bed up and down the country picking up eBay purchases.  I got rid when the fuel pump relay went - the clutch was on its last legs by then as well.

That looks lovely. It's always nice to see a car that has clearly been well cared for.

Going through the history I found the address of the person who bought it from new so looked it up on Google maps.

I know it was only a GL but I was still expecting a 1970s build like Martin and Ann's house in Ever Decreasing Circles or something when it was brand new. Maybe not a full on architect with this spec but certainly a fairly senior manager at the photocopier company. 🤣

I also noticed on that first MOT certificate that the mileage was a whopping 72,450 in the first 3 years of it's life, increasing to 78,000 by the time it was sold to the chap I got it from.

Think it's on just over 165k now so has averaged around 2,700 a year since then. The journey down from South Shields to mine could well have been the longest journey it's been on for decades.

It's ace isn't it. Probably not great if you don't like blue, as there's a LOT of it but thankfully I do, so its a win.

A proper old man's Volvo. Really nice.

Don't change the different coloured touch-ups, unless you want poltergeist action

Love it. Cars of life’s winners these are👍

Looks in great shape, especially the interior. Should serve you well for years yet.
