What a great day that was! The show was nice, weather was good but I've never been to the motor museum before, and wow! Sensory overload.

It was immaculate. And parked next to a Vauxhall Belmont!

Lakenheath and the likes? I used to live near Chicksands and you'd get some odd US stuff driving around on UK plates after the original importer had returned home.

Either way, a lesser-spotted @coachie was - er- spotted. An absolute pleasure to speak to you again and hope to see you again soon. (This photo was well after we had a chat and I leapt from behind his open bonnet, camera in hand!)

If anyone is on the fence about going, do it! Definitely the highlight of the show calendar, and there's already rumours of confirming a third.

Rustival looked a blast, for sure. The sublime B plate mk2 Cav appeared in numerous posts on Twatter - it's for sale I think. 

Seeing Flat Eric in the screen of one of the cars made me chuckle and head straight to ebay to see how much they are. Turns out potential buyers are going to struggle to get change out of £50!

Underneath, and if you looked closely on some arch liners too. Some yt bloke was filming what looked like a first look of some barn/hedge fine cars that were on a trailer. Need to find a pic to see his name later

To be honest, the name doesn't entirely fit the show. Our theme is 'all wheels welcome' and we can't really believe how well this concept has taken off. 

Organising these meets is absolutely exhausting but to see so many people have such a lovely time does make it all worth it. 

Also, this year I've helped organised two Rustivals at the British Motor Museum 30 years after visiting it for the first time as a very excited child. Which is nice. No hold on. I feel old now!

I suppose regarding the name part of the problem is finding a name that is memorable, identifies the show compared to others, isn’t too similar or could be confused… Whether the name is entirely accurate or not the event does at least seem to be gaining its own identity, separate from things like FotU so hopefully it continues to grow and evolve from what looks like two successful shows.

Bloody hell! I’ve had a Flat Eric from new, he’s in a box up in the loft somewhere. I’ll have to dig him out to live in the Capri now!!😄
