Much envy. Always liked those but have never even seen one in person.Β  Heck, barely seen any photos taken this century of one for that matter...

Thanks everyone….. anyone on here any info as to who makes bespoke brake discs…. Murena ones are unique to the car , and hideously expensiveΒ

Love it.

I've never seen one IRL.

All I can add is possibly misquote Jalopy.

Only front discs and front and rear pads, not rear discs

I take it the expensive bits are through Carjoy.nl....Β

I'll dig back and try and find if anything is still valid...... Not hopeful though as it was bloody years back.Β

Nice buy though. I did love mine.....Β

Iirc the 2.2 had a reputation. Buggered if I remember why though.Β

Will definitely be watching this progress.Β

Β

EDIT - just thought - how's the chassis from rear floorpan coming up and around the engine bay?Β

There are rear discs available for the 1.6 version, are they the same on the bigger engined model? (rear discs often are).

Perhaps ( barring exotica) the only Β β€œ sports car” with decent ride quality. LJK was fulsome in his praise, which is good enough for me….

Unfortunately not….. you can fit them, but it’s not advisable…. Going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new pair😱😱

Gainsborough? I forget the name. That’s where I got my French Granada. They guy who runs it is a top bloke.Β

Crikey moses. That's off the scale in its blimeyness.

These and the Bagheera have always fascinated me. Very, very well bought.

Friend of mine had one a long time ago. The chap he bought it from was banging on about how cheap it was to insure. When he showed them his insurance documents to prove that he was only paying 40 odd quid a year for comprehensive cover, they spotted that it was actually insured as a 'Marina'.

Unpopular Opinion:

Grand Tour is good entertainment, Carnage a Trois came at a good point during Lockdown and Richard Hammond suited the Matra.

(FWIW I also think Jeremy Clarkson is great, cream goes on a scone before the Jam, Queen are overrated as a band and not enough people have 'Hit and Miss' fencing)
