Sotheby's may be posh but their Eton tutor would give the no marks for that mangled usage.

Starting a sentence with 'and' and then a comma  - and then after that it's just gibberish.

It's not lead - it's led anyway.

Given there is no women in the picture it's even funnier.

'Ladies is an awful usage - Ladies Automobile Club - sounds like their attitudes are stuck in 1904 too.

Posh  ******s.

It’s a clip from a video- I may have clipped the women out.

I’m looking at the stuff parked on the grass

More my era too

I went to Staplefield. Yes as always an amazing array of interesting stuff parked around the fringes of the green and in the pub car parks.  That combined with watching the veterans trundle through makes for a great morning out. Helped by the weather being kind too and the presence of two nice pubs. In past years I used to then go down to Brighton to watch them come in, but the general hassle of driving in Brighton and finding somewhere to park (plus it gets chilly and dark and being a wimp I want to go home) means I can no longer be arsed with that bit.

Decent video from Westminster. No commentary, just cars going poop, poop!

What does an entry-level Brighton  eligible shiter cost then? Anyone know?

Anyone going on Sunday? The weather looks iffy but not too bad. I’ll probably mess up the grass at Staplefield as usual.

Thinking about it, but probably not.

I'm going down to Crawley this year to meet up with friends who are traveling up from Devon. Last year I watched at Redhill as some struggled up the hill.

Last year first vehicle was this Minerva bike, which came past 10 minutes before the first car. I dont know how much they are to buy, but must be cheaper than a car ?

'Jane' was going so slow, that my camera captured it with no blur 😄

And  finally a couple of an Oldsmobile that expired near the top of the hill

Is it just me that finds the engineering in those absolutely beautiful?

Something else lost in the mists of time😕

More of the working parts are on show and a lot is polished brass so it does look good, but by today’s standards it very primitive and inefficient and lubricating everything every 100 yards would become a bit tedious on your commute.

Yeah, as has been said before, the handbook used to show you greasing points and tappet clearances.

Now it tells you not to drink the contents of the battery.

What price progress?

Bloody newfangled machines clogging up our nice city streets... 😁

Yes, they end up frightening the horses. 😊
