What's the green pickup / tipper thing in the background next to the Renault van :?:

(Depressingly) that was my first thought when seeing that photo. I have no bleeding idea, but it looks cool.

My second thought, equally depressingly, was 'Marina isn't looking so bad there!'..... my third, after checking the link, was that 900 Eurogroats doesn't seem too bad for a seemingly rust free 914..... I think for the first time in my life I am coveting a Porsche

I bet there's a fair chance you could end up hanging out of the back of Marina if you bought it, too

This is incredible, in my humble opinion.

This is what remains of the 1984 Ripspeed Isuzu Piazza, built especially for the show before Ripspeed was a stick on tat Halfords brand name. What makes it doubly interesting is that it was a grey import JDM XE model, imported a full two years before Follets starting bringing UK spec Piazzas. Not sure what colour it was originally but it got given a one off paint job, bodykit and a fully leather trimmed leather interior - and those split rims.

The vendor seems to be hawking it for the value of its numberplate, but IPTOC Clive went to see it several years ago and says its dog rough underneath and a long way from an MOT. A shame, because it's probably the earliest Piazza left in the UK. The fact it's Japanese spec and running a non turbo G200 engine (the same as Mr Bickle's 117) make it doubly intriguing. There was an earlier Piazza (a naturally aspirated pov spec Bella) that came over as a GM assessment car but that rotted away to nothing in a breaker's yard around 2002-3.

Three Piazzas for sale on eBay at the moment - that must be some sort of record. That's getting on for a tenth of the cars still extant.

This is mega, I would freakin love it, i'd put it back on an A-plate.

'looks like a boring 5 door family car, but does 200 mph. Oh, hang on a minute, I'M WRONG!!! It's a 3.2 V8 Twin Turbo that Ferrari have never even been near, and it'll do 168. Sorry, I'll go back to flogging knock-off Wayne Rooney football kit replicas'

I expect that's a right blast but the wheels look stupid (even if they do help it keep the power down or handle a bit better) and the bumpers are annoying. The rear looks like a mingebag spec one, or a posh model with the inserts missing, and the front doesn't match.

That cortina would look 100% better on sports steels. The wheels sticking out make it look a bit odd.

that mk4 tina is nice, but with nasty wheels and a stretchy-chain BOB on board :?

nar

give me a 2.8 mk5 for a quarter of the price, more reliable motor, better seats and all the clocks will work

By Christ that's fugly. Looks like an illicit back alley affair from a mongrel Escort and an Alfa GTV but with added Lego.

It looks like a kit, Dutton Rico? (with added plastic shite).

In other news....especially for Griffin lovers......

Gotta love a mark one Cav, my first "sideways" (DRIFTINYO) experience occurred in a 1981 2000GL.....

"Film star" Cav, starring in "Iron Lady", not the one on fire apparently, it was a "clone"...

£800, no bids, no reserve.

Got hair? Need wind in it? Can't get the pictures up, but it's a Centaur Cav Convertible, appears LUSH.

I assume the Cav being on fire depicts the murder of Airey Neave.

That happened in 1979. It's got post 2001 numberplates :roll:

I suspect this won't be the only disappointment in this movie!

Go camping with your mates. All you need is some Jif and some welding equipment, a driver's door for a CF, plenty of mechanical skills, several jet washers, some new tyres and a friend at the MOT place
