Parts bin offenders

I wouldn't say it's the ultimate sports car. And we've had the Elise switchgear mentioned at least 4 times in here now.

The MG SV must be up there too.  Punto lights, mustang engine, no doubt various bits from lesser MG Rovers too!

The Aston Martin Virage had the same rear lights as the Scirocco I had at the time.

Bristol has already been said, but how about the Blenheim 4S using Audi A4 estate tail lights...

Which is god-awful!

Hella 4169 Series 125mm Round SAE Rear Signal Lamp | Rally Lights

The Hella 4169.

Used on everything from the Diablo, Saleen S7 and Pagani Zonda, to the Ford Th!nk City, and Alexander Dennis bus bodies.

Indicator and sidelight assembly from a final edition Audi 80 Cabriolet are the same as a Porsche 993.

Sun visor vanity mirrors on a Rover 75 are the same as a Mini R56.

Mk1 MCW Metroriders use Ford Cortina MK4 headlights and indicators, together with Escort MK3 Cabriolet rear lamps.

I liked that the wing mirror on my 968 is the same as the 959. I was sort of a supercar (part) owner! The door handle lever was clearly from a poxy Mk2 Golf, mind.

Bus and coach builders are habitual parts bin offenders, especially when it comes to lighting. Here's a few off the top of my head:

Optare StarRider: Mk3 Granada headlights, and (upsidedown) rearlights on the coach versions.

MCW Metrorider: Mk3 Escort estate rearlights.

Early Berkhof coaches: Saab 900 headlights.

Alexander N-type: Hillman Hunter headlights.

Indcar Maxim: Calibra headlights and Fiat Brava rearlights.

Sitcar Beluga: Merc M-class headlights.

Headlights on that era of Dyemehatsue Hijet (Or Piaggio Porter) are from the Mk2 Vauxhall Nova.

Noge also used FIAT Punto tail lamps on the previous version of this coach, as well as BMW E36 headlamps!

Berkhof used SAAB 900 headlamps on it's coaches in the 'eighties...

Same stylist as the Aston Martin plus Rolls-Royce headlamps and Leyland T45 indicators. And my badge on loan for the photograph... 🤓

Toyota have been using this door handle for years. It was on many models in the 1980s, 1990s and continues to be fitted to brand new 70 Series Land Cruisers (which in itself is a design from the 80s that still lives on today).

Better* than Bedford CF tail lights

These Bristols with Bedford CF2 tail lights are the absolute pits in automotive parts borrowing, I reckon:

A close second is the Mini headlights on Morgan Aero 8, although my brain is slowly coming to accept those. I guess we just mellow in older age.

Those wheels remind me of Volvo alloys... That Bristol is a real dogs dinner! 🤢🤮

Leyland Road Runner.

Maestro headlamps and indicators.

Also the cab rear pressing was shared with the Sherpa 400 series pick up cab (designed from the outset for use on both).

Isn't this an E Class?

It uses Mercedes engines and suspension, but the actual base is Chysler's own.

This on the other hand, is 80% an SLK

De Tomaso Longchamp, if not mentioned before. Mk1 Granada headlights and indicators (and US Ford engine).

Rear lights looks like they’re from a Fiat of some sort.

Very similar to Alfa Romeo Montreal

The Longchamps was developed into the Maserati Kyalami, which used 'those' (Italian) doorhandles and appears to share its tail lights with the Citroen SM...
