Off to get some 1990s joy.

Leg 1 complete: Boston to Peterborough via Audi Q2 and Yaris GR. No pictures as I was enjoying the Yaris too much.

Ahead of schedule so raided a secondhand shop for motorway tunes:

Mistake one: I forgot how many seats carriages have and got on the wrong one. Long walk from H to B…

Trains without tables to work at are quite boring

No surprises? Does that mean it doesn't have an alarm either? 🙃

What the actual fuck is it? The badgeless steering wheel didn’t help, the front shot badge brought further disappointment, still non the wiser!

It is the car everyone should have bought - it is driving well so far and very impressive.

Remember seeing this when it was in @egg's possession and it's a cracking and bizarre little vehicle.  Thoroughly approved.

Niiiice.  That steering wheel looks like the logo has been photoshopped off, but in real life.

Ah, thats the style they built between the 7th and 13th March 1995. I'm not sure if I prefer it to the 14th to 21st design or not. My favourite is definitely the one they built in the short week on the run up to Christmas 1996 though.

Good luck! Hope it serves you well as it did for us on the 25 mile school run for the best part of a year or more.

I also approve of you playing the Cure's seventeen seconds in it ;-)

No beats missed, sunroof open from Cambridge. Very impressed with it for the price and still baffled it was around long enough for me to snaffle.

And home, with slightly more fuel in than when I collected - the fill up was £40 of super unleaded and I was not the slowest thing on the road, I even overtook something.

213 miles.

Many, many thanks to @Vantman for the car, the easy dealmaking, the natter and much appreciated lift, and for the service work done that made it easy to feel confident driving back, and to @egg for all the work done before and leaving that numberplate thing with the car because you know that’ll be back on as soon as I’ve got a not-warped plate made ;)

And also also thanks to the sportsball that meant the roads were deserted

But no thanks to Sony for their flashy disco demo mode and tiny buttons ;)
