WHS, that's criminal. I'd be onto the head honchos at Parcelforce with that one, it probably goes on all the time.

Bought a very tidy E36 Bmw ragtop a month ago. The roof wasn't working, but the vendor assured me "it had worked until a couple of days ago" and that he'd been told by "his mechanic" that is just needed a new micro switch. Took it to a local Beemer specialist, who found that the uppy downy motor was little better than a collection of broken cogs and wires,[and, judging by the look of it had been like that for months]  and ordered a replacement. Installed that, still didn't work. Discovered that all the rams had been fiddled with, and two of the many relays were knackered.

Finally fixed [cost a fortune] I think it's "dog turd through letter box" for the previous bullshitter of a previous owner. Shame, because apart from that, it's been really well cared for.

That's classed as mail interception - get it stopped!

What if Graham comes and shits through my letterbox though?

Ebay cripples.

Sold a vase last week, royal mail tried to deliver it twice but the recipient wasnt in. Obviously this is my fault as the buyer has opened an item not recieved dispute. She wants a refund as the person the vase was for has now gone to Australia.

Spazzers.

After 2 weeks in the new house, my broadband is now almost as fast as dial-up (but not quite). The most irritating thing is that it's mostly my fault - I forgot to notify them we were moving, so didn't get connected for over a week, otherwise it would've been sorted by now. By phone-company standards, they've actually been really communicative and helpful throughout, but I've still got to spend the whole weekend watching pictures display one row of pixels at a time, until the BT engineer cometh on Monday. :(

I've been collecting bits for the 'tina estate revival that impends, my NOS taillights arrived today.........they are second hand. Apparently some fuckwit of an ebay mong must think this is okay.  Lower rear valance arrived yesterday which is ,admittedly, rust free.....it's also a non-gen panel, and twisted like a fucking quaver because it was sent wrapped in one sheet of bubble wrap.......a four foot long thin steel panel.

I normally like to collect my ebay treasure, but these parts were from absolutely miles away.......... i'm just pissed off that ebay is proliferated by retards and liars.

Fucking Bilderburg wankers, all gathered near enough in my back yard to plan how to rob what little the masses still have, so I have near constant helicopters, feds and Group 4 muppets trying to look all 'hard like' buzzing around me. So I spent what I could of today clearing up where I took a shed down, disturbed a bees nest and I then have those little bastards swarming round me being all angry, so I knocked up a box out of a shed door to replace their laughable effort of a domicile I wrecked, put a big entrance hole slap bang in the middle and they spent all afternoon hovering round it, can't work it out and have to squeeze their fat arses in round the back, thick or what?

And all the while I'm nailing bits of scrap together this little bastard is watching me from the gutter.

Spammers back on the board. The more things change, the more they stay the same....

What annoys me more is that people still reply to them every time.

Motorhog - what a frustrating way to run a breakers yard.

I needed a starter and ignition switch to get my dads work van back on the road for Monday. They messed me around all morning with their stupid "we'll get back to you" system where you can't actually get an answer out of anyone there and then, you just have to wait for them to text you back.

When they do text back 2 hours later confirming they have the parts and the price, they fail to mention that it'll take them til tuesday at the very earliest to take the parts off the vehicle, by which time I could have got a recon started delivered off eBay for the same price these shitehawks want for an old one, and they have the fucking cheek to demand my old motor in exchange.

In the end I got the parts from FrenchSpares in Ranskill for about 1/3rd the price and he's back on the road with a full matching set of locks for the first time to boot.

Hugo Goodwill, child protégé on Breakfast, BBC1 this morning. What a stuck up, poncey little twat. He'd have lasted about 1.321 milliseconds at the school I occasionally attended, before he got his head bent..

I met Iain Banks a few times with work, he was really nice!

He was one of my heroes, I love his books.  He also knew a decent amount about cars, and not just posh cars - there's considerable amounts in his books to know that he just liked cars.  His novel Complicity, for eaxmple, mentions the 3 Fiat 126s that seemed to be a fixture outside one house in Gilmerton, at least in the novel if not in real life.

Edit: real life...
