Drivers side front caliper on the Wife's Astra is sticking on again. It happened before but a bit of working the piston in and out seemed to cure it for a while. Now it's back and no amount of piston pushing seems to help. The piston can easily be levered back in with a screwdriver against the back of the pad but it's still getting very hot in use. Could it be the master cylinder?

Just swung past my local breakers to see what Santa had brought them. A C-reg Monza, an '82 BMW 7-series and a T-reg Dolomite apparantly...

It's half three on Christmas Eve and my co2 bottles just run out. ARSE! New project on hold while I'm now forced to go back to enjoy* festivities.

Jeez, I'm turning into an old codger in my advancing years...

ARRGGHH!!!! :x

Just come up from London this morning, journey was really uneventful, no egos driving, just alot of rain from about Warwick onwards (with even ittle stream going across the road) but just as I was pulling into my estate I followed a car down a small roadway, I noticed a silver Citroen Xsara waiting behind a parked car on the otherside of the road, he let the car in front of me pass but as I came to pass the Citroen started to pull out and pass the parked car, our wing mirrors touched, I thought it was minor thing as its happend before, but when I turned to my mirror I noticed it hanging off

Normally I wouldnt mind as I can buy one of those sticky-backed mirrors and slap it on, but my mirrors have heater elements so am looking to obtain an original one.

I know where the Citroen owner lives too, but I really cant be arsed to do anything, I hope his mirror was ruined too.

And just when I thought the journey from London was nicely uneventful

Same thing happened to Fath_Outlaw this morning....except we don't know where this car comes from, and the way it was being driven (ie Exceptionally recklessly) it was probably nicked. Shook the old geezer up a bit. Fuckers.

The element literally 'peels' off as it is stuck onto the back of the mirror. It has spade connectors, it's very easy to change them over. ;)

Got a tug by the Law this morning: 6am on my way into work. 30 seconds later and I'd have been in our little car park. Wouldn't have mattered, I'd still have answered his questions, etc, it just irked me that I had to stop the poor sickly Metro and subject it to a hot restart just to go 50 yards.

"Good morning sir, your number plate doesn't appear on our system." No, of course it doesn't, it's from Cyprus. At that point he became quite interested in the van's history, but it didn't stop him giving me a Producer for my insurance certificate. So when I got home I had a look for it. All the car paperwork is together, should be easy, right? Er, no. No certificate. So I phoned Footman James: "Oh no sir, we wouldn't issue the actual certificate until you tell us the UK registration number." I explained my problem and they agreed to send out a cover note ASAP. It's Christmas. Anyone want to guess what the chances are of said cover note arriving in time?

Not one syllable of this is a complaint about the police in general or the officer in particular, by the way. I support the idea of random stops. I might have been drunk, or I might have stolen the van, so well done officer, keep it up.

i always got them to email me a copy of the cert so least i had something before the paper one came thru, might be worth a go?

Go to the Dibble Exchange, explain to them the situation and they will more likely than not extend the producer time to two weeks.

Condolences to all involved.

Once again, this stretch of M6 claims more lives.

Holy shite, that's horrible!

Three children died at the scene. I honestly can't put into words how devastated I'd be if it was my family.

I know what you mean. 3 dead and how many other lives completely destroyed. I can almost hear the knock on the door.

At 1pm during cooking the Christmas roast dinner for 8 people we had a massive power cut and all the houses in my area, including me, lost our electricity.

It's 4:30pm now and it's still not back on and it's dark.

Merry bloody Christmas.

Fat arse still being manager of Chelsea. Every second that hopeless clown is in charge, is a second too long.

Fear not. The Special One will be back. On his own terms this time.

Sadly I think Abramovich is here to stay.

Rafa - being a bloody good manager - seems to be doing a rather good job at Chelski.

I don't think he's daft enough to want it full time though.
