Is the mazda2 hybrid the same car?

Yep. (I've been looking into this).

Rennow and Nissan (small) hybrids use a magic gearbox with dog clutches and a synchronising motor... Witchcraft. Internally known as the locodisco box or something.

It could have been better if had more nudity and sex scenes. Greengrass doing an old farmer's widow would have given much higher viewership numbers as an example.

Just you, or your nation's view? 🤣

Phone updated to Android 16 overnight.

This has resulted in Google Photos duplicating my entire library for reasons only known to the idiots who made it.

Of course one of the tools which vanished long ago (around the time they dropped the Picasa name) was a tool specifically to hunt out duplicates.

Great!

That's a problem for future me, I've not had nearly enough coffee to deal with this level of argument with technology yet.

I've got the s22 ultra and each update makes the thing fucking worse to operate and slows it down. Why can't they just leave the fucking thing alone. Technology gets right on my tits.

I've taken Master Grogee to 'kart school'. That's not the reason I'm grumpy...

It's the full kit wankers that turn up with their race suit and Sparco helmet! FFS mate if you were that good you wouldn't be at karting school barging the beginners out of the way.

Also: backwards baseball cap dad. Seriously?

Mates neighbours got into kids karting, it was more cutthroat than half the professional Motorsports!

On proper race days, you'd even get parents telling other kids that they weren't that fast, or 'why do you seem to have so much difficulty with xxx?'

Psychological warfare on kids? FFS!

Needless to say they moved onto something else

My grand daughter went age 6, borrowed all their gear.

Was too small and to young, although her sister started at that age and was fine.

She had a few crashes, didn't want to do it.

Age 10 she wanted to try again, because can race our Yaris next year. Was told when she got good, she could have a helmet.

Now has her Simpson helmet, and will try the Yaris in a field soon.

"Karting dads" are the bane of car racing. They have to get involved in everything on behalf of their son/daughter, even when that son/daughter is into their 30s/40s. Awful people.

I'm totally deaf in my right ear. Hearing aid in left, which tbf is not much help.

Aid is malfunctioning. I email for an appointment, (used to be walk in, but Covid.....).

They ring me back. I don't hear the ring, and can't use the phone. Deaf remember!

My lady friend happens to be coming down the stairs, hears the phone, but misses the call.

She rings them back to explain. "Sorry I can't make an appointment at the moment. Someone will ring you back".

Deaf!

This is not the first time I've brought it up on here. Or the first time I've mentioned it at Audiology.

I don't really deal with customers in that way any more, but when I did, we had instructions for things like this. For example with a deaf customer, the instruction would be to use email only. Surely it can't be that hard?

We went to a haven holiday park years ago, MK1 daughter entered a talent competition as a comedian, and won!

Prize, another competition and free weeks holiday out of season.

We went, partly to prove to her she was capable, and partly for the free holiday.

She won again!

Prize, a week at the national finals in Exmouth, another competition.

People were bringing their own hairdressers, stage hands etc, it's a kids event!

We only stayed for the weekend, she wasn't enjoying it anyway 🤷

Ditto Football and Rugby and probably many other sports I’ve haven’t experienced.

I was involved in both Football and Rugby coaching from ages 7-12 ( the kids, not me). The amount of cheating taught and encouraged is unbelievable, every parent thinks his kid is a future international and so you are obviously wrong if you penalise or substitute them etc

Then the fun really begins if you get to games involving trophies ( which my teams never managed). The Under 9s, West Fartingham district cup final, becomes the Champions league. Ridiculous.
Then you have parents complaining that their little Johnny played 3 minutes less than another kid, so you must be  blind/stupid/ biased/ racist , take your pick.
I did a combined 11 years of football and rugby coaching, and just 2 parents thanked me when I packed it in.

Same here.

Searching online for this problem reveals that they managed to do the same thing in 2019!

It's done it now and then for as long as I can remember, but usually with a small handful of files that's easy enough to fix - not the entire damned library.

Most consistent one used to be when I downloaded a photo to my phone (for example a photo I'd taken on another camera I wanted to upload here), there was a 50/50 split whether it would download to the main system downloads folder, or DCIM/camera/restored/ - The former was fine - however the restored folder was within the camera software's folder tree, so would automatically be backed up and treated as a new image.  There was no pattern to which images landed where and it was irritating.  Irritating but easily enough dealt with.  This time though it's just duplicated absolutely everything.  Well it hasn't - it's duplicated everything up to the point it ran out of storage space to duplicate things into.

I do have a local copy so in theory could just nuke the whole cloud backup and start over, but I honestly don't trust that it won't just do the same thing again and it's going to take a not insignificant amount of time.  So I'm treating that as a last resort.

Complete waste of resources by the BBC who constantly moan about lack of money and wanting to increase the TV Tax.

Errr, that sounds like the cheapest possible way of filling air time.

And that's why no one wants to officiate in sports any more.

What sending separate reporters and camera crews from BBC Scotland to cover stories already covered by the main (bastard English) BBC?

Surely they’re using the same (or variants of the same) footage, with a new speak track, graphics etc?
