Conveyancing Solicitors.

We're selling our house. If they'd have a 5 minute fucking phone call then we could exchange contracts & get a completion date... But no it hasn't been sorted in the past 2 weeks. I mean  it's a fucking phone call - yes a fucking phone call between two people, how the holy living shit can that not have happened, how can there not have been time to do this??

Utter & complete bloody twats !🤬

I'm not tryong to stress you out even more but you wait till you see the invoice, some 2 minute calls by the solicitor on our behalf for my mothers probate were billed at £200, total bill was over 10 large.

The highest speed reported on this was 40 km/h downhill.

The average caravan with a car moves faster than this so better.

I seem to have been very lucky then.  Bought this house from the housing association six years ago, took about a month all told, a few personal visits to the solicitor, close to where I worked, mostly emails though.  £500 all in.

Try the A66 before the Appleby horse fair. Horse drawn caravans normally with the “driver” walking alongside, so 3 mph max on one of the North’s busiest roads.

I agree that is selfish, but I am also staggered that he drove it all the way from Germany to Norway!

Surely it'll be time to turn around when he gets there.

Back in 2014, when I was almost at the North Cape, I met a column of German tractors with caravans that had been to the North Cape.

So would not be surprised if they in picture has plans to go much further north.

Probably didn't hate them before they existed

But yes, I agree with your point. After forcing them to exist, it's not acceptable to treat them like that

Could whatever virus I have please fuck off now, thanks?

Tuesday to Friday last week, felt like shite, signed off work.

Felt better over the weekend.

I managed an hour at work this morning and could barely stand up straight. I now have a phone appointment with my GP sometime between 1-6pm! Useful.

Two houses ago the doorbell rang when we were in your situation. Our buyer in a state:
"My lawyer says he's still waiting on the copy of the plans for your extension"
"Oh, I dropped them off to their office THREE weeks ago"  (local family firm)
"Really?"
"Yes - here, have another copy - you can drop them in yourself tomorrow"
The guy was a really nice bloke - he stomped off with a sheaf of papers in his hand and a glint in his eye.

We exchanged and completed on the same day about a week later.

My Dad had one a decade ago when trying to sell.

The buyer had agreed to purchase, wheels were in motion.  They went to India for a month to see family.  No problem.

Two months later, complete radio silence.  Solicitors contacted, etc. confirmation that buyer had received messages asking for contact.  Nothing.

Dad pulls the sale.  That night, the buyer turns up at the door step ranting and raving telling my Dad how angry was that he'd pulled the rug.  I think my Dad's words were something like

'Maybe you should have the common fucking courtesy to communicate.  Now fuck off and if you have any questions, ask your solicitor'.

Sold the house to a neighbour about a month later with absolutely no issues whatsoever.  They're still there.

That's how things in life go with me in general - it's always me making an effort with everybody else, never seems to be the other way round.

Then people ask why I've been quiet and haven't talked to them.  Friendships work two ways, you selfish fuckwits!
