OK then, looks like you aren't prepared to actually debate this issue.

Here's a video for YOU then...

A couple of (non-car) forums I visit have subforums - "The Pit"  where anything goes including blatant flaming - but it stays there and is not permitted to be mentioned anywhere else on the forum on pain of exclusion.

Never felt the need to enter those areas but they must fill a need.

I'm pretty sure I've (fittingly) got a Mini HubNut socket somewhere. Wonder if it fits the Reliant?

I believe I have mini and metro ball joint sockets somewhere. Fecking massive.

Sorry Grumpius, I'm not going to watch random yank videos. I've already tried explaining that.

If you want to actually discuss this matter feel free to post your opinion.

I'm just trying to cheer you all up.  Posting clips of one of the funniest films ever made.

You don't have to reply or read this thread if you don't want to.

He's a little monkey, isn't he? A benefit to the community, I'm sure.

I'd added him to 'ignore' though, I wouldn't have noticed his amusing little cabaret if you hadn't quoted him :-)

This will be pretty much all you ever need for the majority of jobs on it or any other older British classic car you may buy in the future:

I have a Machine Mart VAT free voucher that will knock off 20% if you want to stock up. Voucher expires on the 26th Feb. My calculation is just under 62 quid with the VAT free voucher.

Your calculation is correct, but technically it only "knocks off" 16.67%

I honestly thought about getting one of those mangle/handwringers when my washing machine shocks packed up. Thought one would be a good backup. I drilled loads of holes in a bucket and stuff wet clothes in there. Hung the bucket up on shower curtain rail and wound it and let it spin. Fuckin water everywhere and clothes still soaked. Managed to get some washing machine shocks off ebay in the end.

Anyone done any car stuff today? Radical I know.

Gave the Legacy it's pre-summer oil and filter change today if that counts

Got some pics but reluctant to stick 'em up as it shows I bought the oil from Kaufland, and I don't want to get accused of any miss-spelled Nazi connections......

Joke btw....

I remember my Mum using a vertical clothes spinner when I was a kid.  It had a spout that emptied into a washing-up bowl.  It was quite an old thing then (25-odd years ago) and I seem to recall it only coming out when it was raining outside and the tumble drier had packed up at my Grandparent's house...

I’ve got 4-5 socket sets yet I still can’t find a 10mm.

I’ve got loads of tools but found myself undoing a 10mm nut with one of those generic bike spanner’s the other day . They must be with all my socks .

Think I know what you mean. Those things look a bit Steam Punk eh what? Just rewired the lighting circuit in my place. I don't have to shit in darkness studying my bog paper with an ailing mini mag light anymore!

Car insurance

Yeah that's right insurers, the fact i already have my 11 years NCB tied up in another car means it's perfectly understandable that i'd be 5x the risk by running a second car as a stopgap, even with the NCB mirrored.

Perfectly logical.

You sure that Arts degree is toilet paper ?

My son was applying for a job in a management consultancy. Asked me to critique his covering letter

I looked at their website

And wrote this to him

I also have looked at the leadership team.

These are the sort of people that I despise. The sorts that go to a minor pubic school, followed by an MA in Modern Languages at Cambridge, followed by a time at PWC. They vote conservative, have accountancy qualifications, and at a click of a mouse 4500 people are looking for new jobs in a Northern Town.

In my humble opinion people like me need to share their none car related issues with people like me.

Hmm, this car dealership my daughter's new (second hand) motor came from aren't exactly showering themselves in glory.

My grandparents have an old mangle in the garden, they put potted plants on it. When I was very little I tried to turn it and trapped my finger in it... The next time I saw it Grandad had taken the handle off and put a drop of weld on the cogs... Oops
