No we are even more than that. We make the cogs to make the world actually go around. IT and those that make it to continue to work is merely a tool to allow us to do that. tenor.gif

Which of course wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for those software developers writing the ECU software. ;)

Untrue. Before there was software, there was the carb. And all was well with the world ;)

Then they added newfangled things like oil pressure gauges..

Sssh. He didn't realise that hole in my argument.

Software developers - the world doesn’t revolve around you. I’m not going to weaken the security of an entire platform.

You should be grateful if it wasn’t for all our shit programming you wouldn't have any security to fix.

Try Brakes International. They have calipers and repair kits/pistons.

Sorted, the buyer will sort it himself as I'm deducting money from the total.

I keep starting to write this and discarding it. I think it's time to do it though: I'm away on holiday, relaxing, and finally unbuttoned enough that I keep welling up.

My sister in law is only 28 years old. She had cancer as a teenager which cost her a leg. She fought right back and earned her place on the Paralympic cycling team, with a real shot at competing in the next round.

The cancer has come back. It's in her spine and her lungs.

She has maybe two years left.

The first thing she did on getting the news was to marry her boyfriend, who is a really brilliant chap.

My wife is on a bit of a spiral... She's thinner and paler every day. I want to help her but there simply isn't anything that anyone could do to make this better.

This is just the worst.

Sense of perspective restored - who cares about the trivial bollocks I was moaning about

That is absolutely gutting.

What an absolute cunt, every video is just as bad as the last one.

How is this legal?

The thread is for trivial bollocks, please don't feel bad.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. Just keep on, keeping on, being there for you wife as I know you will. Sending my best wishes to you and you family.

Fuck. I'll stop whining about having to sort my car's blowing exhaust out.

I don’t like to give hope when things are as bleak as this, but my friend Emma was told aged 36 that she had two years to live (stage 4 cancer)

She just celebrated her 40th last week.

She has the all clear still.

She will die before she’s an old lady, but she has done more in 2 years than most of us have so far.

Keep trucking. Dx

It's not but as no one with stretched tyres has made the front page of the Daily Mail by wiping out a bunch of nuns and kittens it isn't an issue. Yet. Although I would think the occasional Barry has been done for Construction and Use and no insurance type things.

My step sister has just bought a flat in Gravesend, nearest place to London that she could afford. She commutes to Crystal Palace every day. I'm *really* glad I left Greater London the moment I turned 18.

Whereabouts, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m just curious. Lived in Windmill Hill and Overcliffe, myself...

Not a clue, I haven't been invited, but I'll ask next time I speak to her!

Failures do happen regularly on stretched tyres you just don't hear about them

Thank God the nuns and kittens weren't around

Saying that though a properly fitted tyre can also fail, the stretch look isn't my cup of tea at all
