Its a first for me, you read about fake phone chargers and the like going up in flames but it's bloody different when it's your own house. Just hope the spare unused carpet in the loft can be patched in as a repair. Need to find a decent carpet fitter who will be willing to have a go

After all the work Ive had done and the money ive thrown at my car recently, it decides to repay me by the air con not working, meaning its an utter sweatbox! im hoping it just needs a regas, because although its clearly inop because the air from the vents doesnt get any colder and the fans dont kick in, the switch does still light up, and im sure i remember reading somewhere the switch will not illuminate to show the system is switched on if its faulty and not working. That theory appears to be backed up by my previous experiences of fubar'd air con compressors and condensers thus when the AC button is pressed it doesnt light up as if the button/switch is dead too.

Needed note for employer following op last Thursday. Was told I would get one on discharge. Discharge time - "comeback tomorrow when you get the rest of your meds."

Returned for meds to be told I could be waiting hours for note and that my GP could sort me one. Wrong! Had to drive back from North Wales to Warrington to get said note. It took 5 mins for them to sort me one so what was the problem?

Also did something I regret - I lost it big time with our builder - our ceiling is marked with water because he has'nt ordered the stuff to finish the roof. I left a nasty voicemail to which he did respond - my patience has gone now - a 3 month job will be into it's seventh month in June because he has worked weeks only the greeks and spanish can dream of.

I won't stay at home incase something happens, Eva will be at amys dads, there's people here who can have charlie if she does have to go in, and I imagine the breast clinic is a monday to friday 9-5 job anyway, so if we hear nothing by friday it won't happen anyway. I think she's going to sack work off this weekend too so that will help.

 

I'm WFH today, but can't take the piss all week so she will have to get on with it tomorrow and friday regardless. I started to get stuff together for shitefest earlier, I'll bring the car round tonight and clear it out and offer the airbed up

She chased the hospital up today and their seeing her at 12pm tomorrow to xray it and hopefully cut and drain it. No idea how long she will be in for, so WFH tomorrow with some blaggage from 10am till 1pm, no idea about friday and SF is being decided on friday because I have no idea what's going to happen. She could be out by tea time, or in until a week thursday.

 

She wants me to go, partly because I'm dropping Eva off at grampy northampton en route so she will be a child down this weekend.

99% sure there's some sort of 'noise abatement' department at every council now and they're duty bound to investigate complaints no matter if private or social housing, and they will investigate where it's coming from.

There is - usually comes under Environmental Health or somesuch on your local authority's website. They have quite far-reaching powers, from issuing abatement orders to confiscating equipment. A lot of them do noise-recording apps for your phone as well.

 

Dob the ignorant fuckers in if it's causing that much grief - they should be able to work out where it's coming from.

 

Don't be surprised if they say to you first 'have you asked them to turn the noise down' - 99% of the time folks don't realise how far their chavtastic voices and toons travel.

 

I work for a social housing provider and often refer people to their local council for noise issues like wot you're facing.

I can't get this to bleed, I don't know if I'm being an idiot or my Gunson is fucked. I've tried the bleed sequence 3 times now and if anything its worse each time.

The Eezibleed seems to not be drawing into the brake res.

 

I'm losing the plot with this.

What have you replaced or done to it that you need to bleed it ? You haven't over adjusted the master cylinder pushrod or something silly have you .

I've never got on with an easy bleed to be honest . If you have time then it will gravity bleed so just leave each nipple open for half an hour or so in turn while topping up . Make sure all nipples are at the top of each caliper as I've seen them mixed up left / right and if the nipple is below the fluid entry point on the caliper it will never bleed

Thanks for the answer above about the noise thing but I've already been down that route. Wakefield council are shit and all they do is send you out some paper forms to fill in noting down when the noise is and send a letter to the house you think it's coming from.

 

I've spoken to the person last year who comes out and listens to the noise but it's very hard to get them as there's only two for a giant area and they don't work weekends.

 

If it keeps on like last year I'll just go down this route again. It's slow, very slow but better than nothing.

Replaced a binding front caliper and part of the solid brake pipe leading to its flexi.

 

Tomorrow I'm going to bin the Eezibleed off and enlist a helper and do it the old fashioned way. It's just strange as I've used the eezibleed loads on brakes and clutches and never had a problem..
