Clutch master cylinder has gone on the Christmas Morning Find V40... the list of issues is nearly long enough to justify buying a T4 which isn't fucked.

But this is Autoshite - remember kids: a Volvo is for life, not just for Christmas.

Those roads through the little villages In the dales are bloody steep and narrow. Never again will I choose "shortest route" on the Tom Tom...

Went up to get the car out of the garage and couldn't. Some bloody service company has dug the flaming road up right across the garage frontage and stuck loads of barrier things up just to make sure. Fooking hell indeed!  Fortunately, I have the Kia to trudge round in and I was only after the other car for a change and 'cos it's warm and dry (yes, really!) today, thought it would be pleasant...

Suppose that's the car stuck in there until after New Year.

That's the bastard of having rented car space.    I had the same last summer - council roofing contractors decided to HiAB three houses worth of Redland right across the three garages I rent.   Wouldn't have minded if I was just going up to check the oil or summat but I was picking up my folding caravan to catch a ferry.    Human chain was quickly in place though to clear one garage and block some other fucker instead.....

My mate fixed the big dent on the panda door. It looks lovely but when he moved it out his garage the gearlinkage popped off jamming it in gear.

He managed to get the linkage back on but it's borked. Fucking cars . It's amazing it didn't come off at knockhill .

Keep breaking down in tears too. For no real reason. I'm forty fucking seven FFS, not some two year old toddler whose had his blankie swiped. I'm on anti-depressants, (Mirtazepine?) but they don't seem to be helping. Had counselling in the summer - 6 x hourly sessions - but she couldn't convince me that i'm not completely useless as a son, brother, step-dad, husband, employee. So i tried to top myself. Couldn't even do that properly (OBVS!) took a shit load of assorted pills, hoyed them all up again...

Feel free to let it all out man. Bob, you've got a lot of support on here and I suspect in your family too. On Autoshite, especially the Midlandz Krew we'll always have your back chap. If you ever want to just let it all out, just call.

Chaseracer is top bloke, he is definitely the first port of call if you ever feel down and out.

I myself often feel useless, I certainly haven't achieved a great amount but I've got what I've got and intend to fully hang onto it. I'm still fighting the system for bringing my wife over, nigh-on 3 years being married and not being with the wife regularly does take it out of you. But I can do nothing else but carry on.

Sometimes it's the little things that make me happy, a nice view of the countryside, or being able to go home on a job (my job often takes me away from home) or even picking up a car (for work) with its full set of mats plus rubber mats and full book set + brochure can oddly make me smile.

All in all I look at what I've got and it does make me smile, I'm in no way perfect and I have achieved very little but I like what I've got now and appreciate it more everyday. Don't look at what you don't have or what's gone, but look at what you have got a remember why it makes you smile, it took some effort but what you have wouldn't be yours if you were not around.... you certainly ain't a useless chap.

And if I may say, although I've only met you a handful of times, you are like an uncle to me at least.

Some people shouldn't be left in control of a car on their own.

Picture the scene - I'm in the 316 waiting to get out of a car park. There's one other car in front of me, so I'm a little bit back, still in the car park rather than at the gate. I notice, to my right, that a silver mk6 VW Golf is trying to get out of a space. The reversing lights come on... then they slowly start reversing towards my driver's side front wing. Closer... closer... inches away now, I lean on the horn. They stop, disengage reverse, then start fucking rolling towards me again! I noticed there was nobody behind me, so slammed it into reverse and nearly wheelspinned backwards in order to avoid the pillock. Eventually they drove back into the space and the exit from the car park cleared, so I just fucked off out of there sharpish.

I was very nearly going to be on the hunt for a front wing for an E36 in Alpine White...

Fuggin clients today not making their minds up so I farked of in a huff.

Got home done some important* stuff that SHMBO deemed necessary then hit Leboncoin.

Found the perfect XM. V6 auto in dark green with cow and being in France with DIRAVI.

Phoned up and it's already sold :(

Looks like I'm stuck with four pedals for a bit more.

On the plus side I've sussed the four pedal malarkey, easy with the amount of torque the 2.5 has at tick over :)

Hi Jamie, not sure mate, I need to google and investigate, but you could be onto something here... However I am no good with stuff like this  :?

i have decided that i needed some proper dr martin's.

setting out for Meadowhall we got caught in the traffic chaos round Northallerton cos the A19 was shut both ways, so, we went to Newcastle instead.

it will have been 20 plus year since i was last there. and the intervening time has not improved the place one bit. Its the sort of place a well placed atom bomb would do millions of pounds worth of improvements, what a fuckin' shit hole it is.....

£10 to park the fuckin' car for 3 hours, and i think SWMBO may have driven through a bus only lane which seem to surround the city centre. not sure for certain given the miserable signage both into and out of the city.

So Newcastle, you can fuck off and die in hell. even if i did actually manage to buy a pair of boots mentioned above, now to get them broken in......

Bloody i10. The car won't open on the fob. The alarm blurts when opened on the key, so sacked that off. It was doing this previously but was fine after I changed the battery about 2 weeks ago. I used the 'unused' fob with no effect. So the bloody thing is just stuck there.

I used the 156 instead and had a huge grin. What to do re: i10? Meh!

What's the model? Engine year etc

Google will help us. Usually heater would get gradually worse if blocked but a valve is a dead instance.

'Make me an offer'.

No. State the asking price in the advert, you cunt bugle.

One of my current pet hates.

It's yours. You're selling it. You tell me what you want for it. That's how it works.
