Yes lack of circulation, are they still attached to your hand and do you have normal sensation in them?

Yes and yes. I can't get a doctor's appointment for weeks at my GP and don't really have the time to sit around in the non-emergency section of the hospital.

Maybe Raynaud's? I have it. My feet more often than my fingers and hands, go white and numb. Its painful when the blood comes back. It also caused problems when I was breastfeeding, nightmare.

I think it's pretty common, it is more of a worry when it is a secondary condition to something else, but obvs your dr would clear that up for you.

The capillaries go into spasm. I was told to keep my body warm with vests etc is v important, not just the areas affected. It can also be triggered by stress. Don't try to heat up the hands too quickly, recipe for chilblains and possible burns due to the numbness.

What about making the appointment anyway; keep a diary of symptoms, when, which fingers, were you cold or stressed or whatever, take pictures if they are going white or a funny colour. The weeks will roll by soon enough and as it's sods law you won't have the symptoms on the day you have info so you might cut out some back and forthing?

In the meantime you can fall back on the emergency appointment if you get any more symptoms that concern you.

Hopefully it's just a bit of a glitch and all will be well by the morning.

All the best, I know how uncomfortable and frustrating it can be. :)

Is anyone brave enough to publish their ignore list?

There's no-one on mine, I'll talk to any bugger.

I went to apply online for Christmas temp jobs at Tesco and I can't even get past the online questionnaire of 'what would you do in this situation' etc.

You even need to do it for the bloody night shift.

It'd probably cause ill feeling and arguments if they did, tbh.

Also, a medical question.

If two of my fingers are stone cold, this is bad, yes?

Have you been making rude gestures too often ?
Posted

Probably not a good thing. Have you bent them, hit them, been lying on them oddly?

See GP, or local walk in. Probably nowt, just don't Google.

Probably:

What I imagine you're worried about if you've done any googling:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_limb_ischaemia

If your sensation in the finger (I.e. sense of touch) is normal and when you press on the skin it blanches then goes back to the colour of the surrounding akin after a few seconds then it's fine.

Probably worth seeing a GP at some point for bloods to rule out minor causes, but Raynauds is really common and mostly harmless (in the Douglas Adams sense of the word).

No, soz.

A couple of people are there for utterly stupid reasons that would be solved with a robust PM (hint, hint).

Others haven't done / said anything directly to me, they just get on my nerves for various reasons.

The rest ended up on block because of the EU thread in the open forums.

Were it not for the ignore feature, I'd have bolted months ago.

Anyone with a jumbo signature gets it blocked. Only for the signature mind. I do enough scrolling as it is.

New laptop is fubar, won't run half the websites and definitely will not allow me to go on Google as it's 'not secure'. So I am using the old laptop which was nearly consigned to the bin for being slow and old. It is a pleasure to use Vista after the pile of turd that is Windows 10! Not sure what I'mgoing to do about the new one, currently trying to 'system restore' back to BEFORE the big update as it is since then it has been truly shit whereas before it was just shit.

...It is a pleasure to use Vista...

   That's the first time I've heard anyone mention "Vista" and "pleasure" in the same sentence - Windaes 10 must be utter shite.

W10 is shite, but not as shite as Vista. The only thing better about Vista is that it's nearly W7 so has a proper interface.

I'm used to Win10 now, but it does have an annoying habit of installing updates and fucking up all your settings every now and then.

We have had bloody shit internet for the last 2 weeks.

What the hell have i missed with trigger, timewaster and others?

Just recently Windows 10 has started doing big updates that take ages. It's also frozen up on me twice this week, never done that before.

Linux anybody?

I do keep trying, feeling like I should get into it, but I just can't.

It's too much like hard work, and I work with computers and network switches all day, so when I get home I want to stop. In kind of the same way loads of mechanics drive absolute heaps.

Had to take the transmission back out of the Porsche today. Bloody after market rear main oil seal leaking like a bugger. I can't believe the supposed specialist sold me a standard seal. I did ask if it was as good as a genuine one, well turns out it wasn't. The genuine one was about a fiver extra but is a completly different type of seal so hopefully this is the last time the 'box will be out. On a more posative note the brake pad wear warning light was on and it is just a buggered sensor rather than the rather expensive Brembo pads.
