The grumpy thread

I am so fed up with being in agony every night when I try to sleep I have today, triple dosed on every opiate I have available! Got home from dog walking, could feel it coming on and just thought: 'Sod it!' and did the deed. Also taken a load of paracetamol.

So if I am never heard from again, you all know why! :)

Yes, I know I am incredibly stupid.

You could stick a cup of that 'antifreeze' in your icebox to test it. At least it's the right colour, what the fuck is it with pink? Ever seen a brass monkey with pink balls?

Spot on, i still assume people are basically decent and a mans word actually means something, without fail every single time the arse holes prove me wrong.

I imagine when with easy prediction yet another has turned me over or not paid for something they said they would i'll become a tosser like them, then reality dawns and i realise the very last person i'd want to be is one of them.

Yes the world is full of cunts and they're breeding like bloody rats.

Here's a cunt I met earlier. I advertised a lorry chassis that I picked up on a farm. Its from a wartime Morris and is corrosion free in a place where they always 'go'; my own lorry is worse in this area, but not bad enough to be worth all the work of swapping. A bloke got in touch full of enthusiasm especially when I said it was free. He wanted weight and measurements to arranged collection which I supplied and 6 weeks later the fucking thing is still on my lawn. I will cut the bit out that has the tare weight painted on it and hang it in the lounge. The rest will be weighed in which is a waste but life is too short to waste on these wankers

Not stupid but clearly frustrated. Please, please be careful with the meds. You're a fantastic contributor to this place, and anyone with the balls to run a big-ass Bentley can handle a bit of pain ;)

Went out on the piss on Tuesday, ended up out all night, and in an attempt to get home I ended up at Manchester Airport, in the process leaving my bike on a train somewhere. Airport railway station has no idea where it is.

Also, Transpennine Express's hold music is Kenny G.

And yes it was that song.

I assume at freezer temperature it should still be liquid, yes?

(not sure how cold the freezer gets)

Went to see a Ka luxury, fuck me the most failure /advisory list.

No full leather interior for me

Fuck me, ordered tyres from an online company (You know the one.)  on the 15th

Estimated 18th... chased them up and they were delivered on the 16th apparently. To my next door neighbour, whos been on holiday for a week and half.

Another neighbour has a key to his house and... nothing, no slip or anything. Awesome.

Posted

Wickes. Looking for laminate flooring - but not at £40 a pack.

Everything i've seen is out of stock at Warrington- nearest that has it in stock? Fucking Dumfries.

Are wickes the next to go down the gurgler?

Posted

Still going near us, I went in there last week for the first time in years and it was dead. I think there were about three people in there.

Hopefully that will be tyre leader who were superb with me when mine went missing. Two more despatched straight away. The original 2 arrived 3 days later. $$CASHBACK$$

They opened up a store down the road from us in Shipley last year. The only time I ever buy owt from them is if they dont sell it at the screwfix that opened a few hundred metres away at the same time.

Oddly Screwfix is owned by the same people that own B&Q yet they sell the same stuff at half the price.

Apols for OT on a car forum but I've used laminate from Ikea before and it's a shit load cheaper than most places and usually in stock.

Just this very morning, whilst waiting for some tyres fitting to the Accord, Mrs B and I walked across to Wickes to have a piss/mooch around. Apart from us there were five other people in there. Five of which were staff!

Have poured suspect fluid into lolly mould and put in freezer. If it goes solid grandchildren might as well get some benefit, can't be any worse than a slush puppy.

And you have to go and find the bloody stuff yourself at B&Q. I like Screwfix. The chaps at our local one are ace. Really helpful. I have been to some (Peterborough notably) where they're right miserable sods. Proper "if you haven't got the product number, I'm not talking to you" types. Mind you, they probably have to live in Peterborough, so I do have some sympathy.

our local is good but has the worst speed bumps I have ever known. My mx5 couldn't get in there and it was standard height. The 318 slams down every time no matter how careful I am so I have stopped using it and know other people who have done the same. My mate has one of those fat Mazda things and that is ok but then it has about a foot of ground clearance.

Here's a bit of the chassis that Mr 'can't be arsed to fetch it even thought its free' has missed out on.

It was from a 1943 civilian lorry that got made into a farm trailer. Very usually the original lucas 'D'tail light (only one was deemed necessary at that time) and number plate have also survived unscathed.

The replacement anti freeze tester I grabbed from the motor factors is also broken. No grumps about this though, on the opposite side of the road is the place where the very comely girl fills you with LPG. Again I was wished a good week end and I hope everyone here has one too.

The customer service has been amazing, two new tyres coming on Monday, unless they find the other two sooner.

the car was booked in today, which is the only annoyance.

The M1 today. Drove from Chesterfield to Chorleywood with our lass to pick up a reet old sewing machine for her.

270 miles total. One stop for 10 minutes when we got to the destination to load the car back up.

Got back home at 4:40 pm. 7.5 hours for a two hour trip.

There were no crashes or anything, just EVERYBODY CAN'T DRIVE and it snarled the motorway to a fuckin standstill, plus there's shit tonnes of roadworks on it.

I was half considering doing the A1 instead and I wish I had now. What a waste of a holiday!

I've had 7 hours sleep since Wednesday morning, bloody people and their FTP's. Back from Preston, head down and 10 mins later someone needs to got to Edinburgh, then a Subaru to Aberdoom. I'm that tired I'm wide awake and don't know if its Sunday or Christmas day.

Stick it on hmvf http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/

Someone will collect it and start a resto thread with it, they get a rusty bolt and build a car out of it

I tried using jewson near me, both were shut on a Saturday

Homebase seems to be the waitrose of DIY shops with their pricing and haven't got fuck all in stock

There are two B&Qs in ipswich and they are closing the better/bigger/more accessible store over the one that you queue to get into and has a tight approach for anything bigger than a van.

Tradepoint is a pisstake as everything is the same price but the advertised price is not including vat,so it's about the same price as the stock in the aisles.
