Not had the best week ever to be fair - just trivial things that have made me fugging angry!I apparently made the work's company car play up (tis a '57 plate Passat TDi estate) - was cutting out all the time as I drove to pick some supplies up.."it was fine this morning"....so I got the blame and that riled me.Then I broke a machine at work - the on/off switch box I placed on a table mysteriously fell off the table and broke the internals - so I felt crap about that. Then I got caught speeding.... bloody mobile cameras...And now I have discovered a stone has kindly shown some love to my foglight on my MR2, destroying the glass lens.Oh and I have f*ck all money and I don't get paid for three weeks (that is my fault but still....grrrrrr)Roll on next week.

Chin up buddy. :) Well, if you do sell the Fiesta you can purchase yourself a new piece of tat, which will surely put a beaming smile on your face.

, I don't want to do anything, go anywhere, or see anyone.

Im sure its the winter blues or S,A,D as it now seems to be called , ive never really suffered from this untill the current winter set in , to cold / wet to do bugger all except watch crappy films on TV , Went and watched Avatar in 3D tother day , that cheered me up no end so if you havnt seen it go and have a peek , Is it wrong to really fancy a pooter generated 8 ft tall blue woman with a tail  , if so im in big trouble .

It's been mentioned before but - The Severn Bridge£10.90 to drive across it in a small van (Vx Combo):shock: I'd have gone the long way if I'd known the bridge operating shysters wanted that much.

I like Bruce, he's fairly inocuous and very easy to listen to, plus Popmaster is unmissable.Jury's out on Evans: couldn't stand the twat at one time but absence may have made the heart grow fonder as I also utterly despised Wogan for a long period of time but grew to really enjoy his show.

I like Popmaster, but dont like Bruce on it. He always tries to make out he knows things about the contestants professions/hobbies. Usually gets it wrong too. My other main problem is with the show and not him. All the shitty annecdotes that he gets sent which we've all heard a million times before yet I suppose he has to read them out to keep the listener who sent it in happy. I dont like Bruce's voice eitherI dont mind the music he plays - no worse than other R2 shows anyway. The whole 'playlist' is bollocks though. As is the general repetitiveness.

I quite like Ken Bruce's show. Love Popmaster.Simon 'inoffensive' Mayo replacing Evans in the evening is just wrong, as is the departure of Wogan, but having heard Evans in the morning I don't think it's a total disaster.Steve Wright has lost the plot. Used to be a good show, but now it's all just "Ah, so, you've written a book.."

Nissan Micra drivers on the A51.It's a national speed limit in most places 'twixt Chester and Nantwich you twats, not 27mph max.

Indeed, I've been eyeing that up and it makes a huge amount of sense. Just the finances are a bit crap at the moment :(

I got insured with Footman James through the owners club on my A35 when I had just passed - £450. Cheap for 17. I think the MMOC have a similar scheme. Depends if he is interested in old motors really.

Thats a great price, though presumably some years ago now? I've been looking at various different cars and they are all around 1k to insure, regardless of engine size/age, even though i'm 24. i didn't think classic car insurers covered the under 25s, do you reckon this is worth looking into? i was gonna go for a mid 80s motor but would gladly drive something older if i thought i could insure it cheaper...

Nah sorry I am 18, it was last year, this year's renewal was £420. As far as I know it's only the A30/A35 OC and the Morris Minor OC that have the scheme. Adrian Flux were also willing to insure me but they wanted £1500...FJ were by far the cheapest. I suggest you contact them :)

Cheers, he wants a Mini more than anything but I might be able to tempt him with a classic of some sort.

Five door cars seem cheaper to insure then three doors and if he gets something modern(ish) then I'll be weighing up a Corsa or Astra (sorry!) for him.

A pre-90s mini would be on classic insurance, shirley? I wouldn't be surprised if the owners club(s) did a similar thing as the mmoc too.thanks for the tips guys, will check out those two when the time comes

Whats my problem today?Me.I'm a clumsy twat.Allow me to explain......cooked chicken pieces with bacon bits, mushrooms and onions for lunch. had the bright idea to liquidise the liquor in the pan to make stock for gravy.Did that, no problem. Then, while dismantling the handheld magimix thing, I threw the little plastic thing which connects the unit to the chopping blade into the sink, except i'd forgotten I'd taken the strainer plug thing out, and it went down the plug-hole, never to be seen again.I've had the U-bend off, the drain cover outside the lot.Is the part listed on the Braun website as available? Is it bollocks.Arsemongery!!

Hope the chicken tasted ok after all that

Im annoyed because yesterday I went to Camberley/Sandhurst Tescos and noticed that the MKII Astramax van I keep seeing was parked up. Great, I think, time for a picture. Realising I only have my old phone, I think: 'Yeh Ill just tamper with the colour settings, itll look fine'.Somehow my old phones camera broke, so it only shows lines of beige and purple. Hmmm.

I'm unhappy because a certain car I use to see every day is now minus it's wheels in the scrappy. Not just any car, but one I would alter my route just to see it. Every time I saw it I would make a little mental note of the bits that needed doing to it and how much it would cost to repair. I often used to think about being cheeky and knocking on the owners door and asking him to call me if he ever wanted to sell. I wish I had.

hey 155V6, thanks for the offer....Its about 1.5 inches high, sort of round at the bottom, and like a phillips head type thing at the top....fits through the lid of the 350ml mixing bowl thing...hard to describe really....fits onto the hand-held unit itself, straight into the motor part....er...erthats it, thats all i can say...

Now the forum is back and running we can start being grumpy again.

My wife for the last 8 years has been going on to be about having a dog, Until now I've been able to flog her off with excuses to why i don't want one even though she has a point about letting me have all these car's i keep buying and "I never moan".

Anyway Friday i gave in and ended up letting her have one, a 16 week old Lhasa Apso/Cockier spaniel cross, and have we slept since?, Like fuck!, Bloody thing won't shut up at night!, it was 4.30 am the other morning before he stopped.

We have been leaving him in the kitchen with 5live on the radio which is enough to make any one sleep and a light on and he still doesn't stop!.

On the plus side he is very sweet and quite a funny little chappy!.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwh! Thats a cute dog.Yeh it will cry alot at first, but as soon as he gets used to it, itll be fine. Stupid rules on this flat wont let me have a dog.

Cute dog!!! Wifey wants one too. Things on the tele don't usually annoy me much, but I don't think I have ever been so angry as I was watching the Post Office thing last night (Dispatches, I think). I swore at the tele and threw things. It's put me in a mood which I have yet to shake off.

Posted

Well cute dog! Don't give in to him, he needs to learn to be on his own (which he hasn't been up to now). If you hadn't told me what breeds he is, I would have said he was a bearded collie!Sorry not grumpy!

Posted

I've been well grumpy for the last three night!, My wife's had dogs all her life so i know it's only to do with leaving his litter and being on his own for the first time but it's still driving me mad!.And the own toilet training thing as well!, He nipped one out on the living room carpet last night the little bugger! So much for being paper trained!
