Depends if it was in a 30 limit, a 40 limit, or across the front garden of the chief constable.

Chuff me, what is it with ebay tonight?

Mong sent a message about Pool Ball Gear Knob fits BMW Mini Cooper:

Was it a full moon today, or just let the loonatics out of the asylum?

1. White van behind me at lights blows horn just after setting off for ten seconds of so because he couldn't get past due to oncoming traffic and a traffic island with the lights on the other side of the junction( a322).

2. Audi squeezes past with six inches to spare only to slam the brakes on and do a u turn.

3. Old guy in a focus waits patiently behind then overtakes while indicating left and immediately turns left across me from the opposite lane.

4. Woman in a new beetle thing doesn't even bother trying to overtake and actually hits my Panier bag at 30mph before slamming brakes on for a 2m width restriction and causing me to come to a stop.

5. Volvo XC70 overtakes on a blind corner, finds something coming the other way and swerves back into me.

6. And on the way home a policeman opens his door just as I'm passing.

Worst day for years!

It's certainly been day of the dickhead on the roads today, even worse than usual.

Because there's always time for Pedantry - Microsoft don't make phones.

True but most of it seems software related that even clean installs doesn't fix.

New phone winging its way to me. Will give 02 a call and see what they say.

I went with a friend to Bexley in SE London to view an FE VX4/90 for sale on ebay. There was already some northerner looking at it when we got there, and after half an hour or so my friend was quite upset when this guy strolled up and proudly announced he'd bought it, without the seller even giving my friend a chance to make an offer. He was very rude as well, accusing us of pinching the car's paperwork out of spite when I had in fact given it back to the seller ten minutes earlier.

To add insult to injury, on the way there I was driving my friend's Morris 1100 and we arrived at a mini roundabout in Bexley. I needed to turn right, but there was a dustcart right at the junction facing me to my right, with cars trying to overtake him coming towards me. I couldn't move out, and yet some utter TWAT in a white Transit was right up my arse, blowing his horn. When I ignored him he started leaning on the fucker. Arsehole.

Bloody buskers on town centres.

I love a good busker me, on the most part it is a pleasant soundtrack on your dreary stroll around town. However, WTF is going on with them all using amplifiers turned up to 11 these days? Its fucking awful, especially when they are as shit as the ones outside M&S in York town centre today.

Although I would like to see this lot but still don't see why they need an amp, although don't understand these sorts of things but really think its not needed on the most part.

This is the only good song called millionaire

Was looking forward to the Big Debate tonight......until I just discovered its on ITV!

FFS so an hour programme will end up being a half hour debate when you allow for all the adverts and mong competitions.

I dont think I'll bother with it now.

*Edit, its a 2 hour programme which means an hour debate and an hour of ITV faffing about with adverts, competitions and various  promotions.

I was bidding on a "Rialto" show plate, original Reliant one for the car. Thought it would look good for shows etc, went for way more than i would spend, no big deal.

Than you get an email from ebay. sorry it got away etc,  there are plenty more options for you. MK1 Mondeo brake shoes, Saphire brake shoes. yeah all this shit is just what im looking for :-o

Not just you.

Had a moron bought an ex partwork model priced at £11.99 including postage to Israel. Sends a message moaning that its a cheap model (we prefer the term 'value') and leaves negative feedback saying its not as described.  What do you expect for an item for which you paid less than £12 including delivery to the other side of the world I wonder? S'pose I'll have to ring ebay again now.

Sometimes I really feel like giving up the self employed thing and getting a job.

I'm not sure if ITV are allowed to run ads during programs like this, but I could well be wrong though

I might watch it in the hope the leader of the Green party makes a complete fool of herself again

Whilst combing ebay in vain search for a reasonably interesting automatic within my budget, I came across a seller who had a Honda Insight track rod end. £150 for one TRE? Really?? Must be made of some exotic metal.

You get a different type of moron to me. Mine are clueless or thieves. I think yours have unrealistic expectations, it's not like you're making the models yourself.

Does it work for you phoning ebay? I've given up on them helping.

She's heading that way.

We have to have someone that represents us, on the face of it you can only see that Cameron is the polished professional, the others just look awkward like they're trying to be what they aren't

On a car related grump, I really fancy a P4 after drooling over the ones on here. Do you think I can find one that isn't "optimistically priced"? I think I've missed the boat on that one.

Someone should tell 3, since they've just bought o2 for ten billion quid....

Driving up the A90 last Friday for a meeting in Aberdeen when I realised the speed limit had surreptitiously changed to 50mph for the Laurencekirk junction. I might have been day dreaming but it was not a well advertised change of limit.

Sure enough, today the letter arrived telling me I was doing 61 in a 50. Grumpy bear 'cause I'm not a speeder.

Posted

Yes please. Max budget 2500.

"At the moment, just understanding the new mobile world order is going to be confusing enough for customers with Sky teaming up with Telefonica, Telefonica selling O2 to Three and BT buying EE outright"

So Telefonica are selling 02 to 3,whilst selling the 02 "piggyback" rights to Sky at the same time.

Tesco already piggyback on 02,as do GiffGaff.....

Should give the Monopolies Commision something to think about

I think the section around Laurencekirk junction has always been 50, it certainly has been for the 7 years I've been driving to Aberdeen regularly.

Posted

It's been like that for longer than 7 years, probably at least 14 years.

10 years.

I don't have a problem with the 50 limit but it could be more obvious for folk like me who don't know the road. I'm just annoyed at myself for not noticing.
