It's so-called PC gone mad, EU couldn't make it up, hell in a handcart, you can't even celebrate International Men's Day every day without some women shouting down your neck about the sexist, patriarchal society we live in, while watching adverts featuring daft men being daft, in between segments of Loose Women where they laugh at daft men being daft.

Ms. Peel likes scrap yards and clothes shopping.

Fancy spending Saturday in a breakers yard in the rain? No, thought not.

I would love that!

Hate shopping. Esp Sales. Or T K Maxx which is like a shop full of "sale rails".

Louise, I've long thought that you were really a 56 yr old welder called Brian just pretending to be a girl, and now I know it.

ATTENTION ALL WIMMIN, "spending time together" doesn't mean dragging your fella round shit clothes outlets.

I got the wife passing tools and hunting out Rovers for me. Next time I'll get her to hide some small parts around her person, and she can look all affronted if they want to search her.

I'm lucky mrs fp doesn't mind going round gintys at all, I'm the one that drags her round clothes shops :-) she hates shopping and idiotic shoppers who get under her feet

Sorry to hear about your shit time in York, Cobblers. It's my home town and was a nice place to grow up, except for the influx of stag and hen parties. Count yourself luck you weren't there during a racing meet, as it's bloody horrendous. There are some great pubs in the town centre, though you have to avoid the side of the town with the night clubs and trendy bars and head for ones with low ceilings and horse brasses and Sam Smiths, though that's possibly more of a male orientated good night out than one to spend with the missus.

I think York encapsulates everything lacking in NZ, which is social history and living in a city with infrastructure still based on it. Sure, the Lake District and a lot of rural Scotland is beautiful but then so is NZ. London's good to visit for a short while, especially when visiting from a small country but most Kiwis comment on how dirty they find it. So when I made a trip back home when STUNO was living over there, I was glad to show him the sights. Right up until some twunt stole his camera in a cafe. Great to be back home.......

Well it was me that left it in the toilet. But what really did it for me was that it's replacement chose the top of the Eiffel Tower to announce that it had had enough and never worked again. Binned and replaced by a nice ordinary Canon so now got over it and quite satisfied with life. 8)

Loved York ! I had not been there since 1970 something, and it was just the same but sunnier!

i'm afraid that york is shite on friday and saturday nights, too many dipsticks and the like.

pity you couldn't manage midweek as the place is much quieter and far more civilised then! it is also when the locals go out for the evening, as the weekends are hell.....

Me and Mrs DW had a romantic weekend in York a few years back. Blatted up there in the stinking BX 16v, found a nice little B&B tucked away from the main drag, had a very enjoyable mooch around the city centre, cathedral and National Railway Museum. Bostin'! Mrs DW also hates shops. I had to drag her out of B&M Bargains yesterday because she was very vocally complaining that things were not bargains at all. She did have a point, but the regulars were staring at us.

York is a lovely place and I bet most cities are blighted by stag dos etc.

Chester get it's fair share (I don't mind the hen nights, though) but it's biggest blight is the races and the absolute pond life that they bring.

Agree about Chester when the races are on. You could probably see all the static electricity from all the £20 polyester suits the blokes wear from space. If you're a supposed gangster like the ones in Good Fellas in your suit with your mates, why are you travelling home to Liverpool on the last train? Put a bunch of men in a pub with suits on and they thinks they're gangsters lol.

Very true DW - All that stuff in there for just £1, WOW! Go to any main supermarket and you see the same stuff for about 79p, but because its only a quid people think its mega cheap. May I provide some examples...

3 pack of washing up sponges, WOW YES only £1, same thing in Sainsburys for 79p

Bottle of dodgy sounding Mouthwash WOW YES only £1, Sainsburys own brand mouthwash 69p

Washing up liquid WOW Yes only £1, own brand washing up liquid in the supermarket is about 89p

I could go on all day.....but I won't.

Stick a bright red £1 sticker on any old POS and the great unwashed think their gettin a bargain!!

we like the 3 legged mare and (what was called) the hansom cab.

york generally is a beautiful place, just let down by dickheads on a friday or a saturday.

but then i guess most laces are like that.

We had a weekend in York a few years ago and it was ok as I recall. Dublin was pretty unpleasant though, I won't go back there voluntarily.

I got the option of a speed awareness course instead of my points but the website you go on to book the course has crashed.

Exception Text: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

If you want to see a proper shit hole come to Westgate, Wakefield Friday or Saturday night. All the pubs together rammed out with pissed up wankers and a billion taxis trying not to run them down. It's truly delightful

Some of you may know I bought one of these...

And Ive been trying to get the site to sort out the TV aerial pick up ever since it was dropped on the pitch. Basically the coax runs under that gravel and gets driven over and then breaks, but the site keep insisting that its me not able to tune my telly in properly and wont actually check the cable under the gravel. Im 44 I think I can tune a fucking TV set in by now.

Last time I was in B&M they was promoting 'pineapple' flavour pop. With a warning on the can that the dye used can cause ADHD in kiddies. Drink up kids, 4 cans for a pound!

Actually, their Persil Small and Mighty is a good price - almost half what you'd expect elsewhere. That's the only price I could be bothered to check, but it was academic anyway as we only use non-Bio, and they didn't have any of that. #boring

Nice one, where is it? I really really want one, but the site fees at most places are eye watering, plus all the other stuff they cobble on.

Sold a car today.

The buyer drove off to Reading happy with the keys.

Unfortunately, my house keys, garage keys and car keys were with the keys he drove off in.

He must've clicked when he saw a bunch of 10 keys together.

I feel like the council, HM revenue and customs and other such scum are trying to kill me.

HM have picked up a calculator and smashed it on their head a few times and then written to tell me I owe them that amount of money.

I'm not self employed, why should I even have to consider dealing with these fucks?

Anyways, I assumed I could earn up to £10,000 TAX free they say £9440

Also they are charging me at 20% I'm sure that's wrong too?

What is wrong with these people.
