This confused me too. It would mean she became a grandmother at no older than 23.

Does she live on Albert Square or is she a hamster?

No ex chav I think but deadenders was probably her lifestyle guide.

Probably not, I replied more to do with the "no one hates there kids" post.

A mate had a neighbour who upto here daughter finally being taken in to care circa 10 years old could be regularly heard through the wall screaming abuse  etc  that the child ( from being baby) was the source of all her problems ,hated her & far worse.

As usual social services would have none of it as the mother was always sweetness & light in public.

The poor child was finally taken off her after attacking other pupils & biting  atleast one member of staff at several schools.

Obviously non of this was the mothers fault & her main complaints afterwards were all the benefits she no longer was getting.

So don't always think everyone their kids just by what you see on the surface.

That just adds further fuel to my belief that in the eyes of social services, women can do no wrong. 😠

Yep ,they can be just as bad if not worse, also as said earlier why do people get themselves in this situation for want of contraception especially this century.

Got some new wipers for the Princess.  Sometimes, the new wipers have the proper plastic inserts for side-peg wiper arms, sometimes they don't.  This time they didn't.  No bother, I'll swap the plastic insert off the old wipers on to the ne-SNAP

Heck.

Wrapped it in red electrical tape as that's the only thing I had to hand to hold the blade on and so far it's fine.  Anyone got any spare side-peg compatible plastic inserts for wiper blades?

Yet another bug has caught me . I called my recently merged GP surgery and found I was 30th in the queue but was surprisingly  offered an appointment at noon,  it was a strange consultation where the guy managed 9 words in the 10 awkward minutes we sat there

" I think you have infection"

"I've sent it down"

I was able to cleverly deduce from this that I have a ripper of a chest infection and  he'd sent a prescription for antibiotics the the pharmacy downstairs !

Why waste words 😂

our GP if you get through seconds after it opens you get the obligatory no appointments avl ( sure it's the dhss woman from bread granddaughter)  if your not lucky enough! To get through you just get cut off as queue is to big for system.

Got a picture of the type you need? Have a literal box of spare wiper fittings at work from universal kits... 'theyll come in handy one day' ... :)

There's a distinct sound of a bearing failure coming from my air purifier. Something* tells me these are not made to be replaceable and you just junk the entire unit. I'll try opening it up to check later and see if silicon lube can shut it up, but I really didn't plan on replacing these after 3 years or so. 🙄

Put the oven on, chopping veg, heard a loud clanking and saw the fan in the oven going round like a fucking Catherine wheel. Stopped it and the inside is now all blue!?

Not of the ones on the car, I don't want to try and remove them for fear of them exploding and leaving me wiperless.  Not usually a concern in July but this year is intent on being broken in the weather department. Second from the left in the photo below is the type I'm after if you have them.

it would appear that the footy is on bbc and itv tonight - i am unsure why is this necessary ?

being not much of a footy fan and having a short attention span, i wondered idly if / how the two broadcasts would differ ?

IMG_7855.jpeg.f41fde6279c2af548b69b0183a8e50d2.jpeg

exactly the same coverage but, for some weird reason, itv is 2 seconds behind bbc.

wtf ??

SIL was round, watching it. Mrs J followed it, ish. I came in, had to see. 45 minutes for no score. What a waste of time money. (Other opinions are valid, obs)

This the other day. Almost a head on. Taken from my dash-cam. The wife and I returning from shopping.

First image shows the first sighting by the cam. It does not show if he was already on the wrong side of the road. I doubt if I would have reacted at this point.

lorry1.jpg.9bb1c8c686eb7130a8057e7332674523.jpg

Next one I can clearly see he is coming across into my side of the road.

lorry2.jpg.b0ff87c590689732b1d9d570a446f235.jpg

This is zoomed in so it show just how far over the white line the driver is. My thoughts at this point was where the hell do I go?

lorry3.jpg.97000cd9bd0aebe68f21806f898476cf.jpg

The lorry  is now going back to his side of the road. Thankfully I did not try and avoid him being on my side of the road.

lorry4.jpg.1bdac9c6a67f3fb89add843fa90e3936.jpg

At this point I was almost at a halt.

lorry5.jpg.78400d7ae43709e6892ab074266ce21d.jpg

At least he just managed to get passed us without an accident.

We both do not want to go through that again

I have used ebay for over 20 years.

Yesterday - for the first time - I left negative feeback.

I have had issues with the seller before but gave them another chance - like last time it was engine oil. Last time it turned up after I opened a dispute - this time it failed to arrive after 14 days. They claimed it was lost in transit but it never appeared to have been dispatched.

No more chances.

Reckon that would make someone pretty grumpy.

Was trying to make a neater job of the exhaust.

Broken only two bolts. That one you see was was exhaust manifold to head. The easier of the two. Despite it being awkward to get at with the welder.

The other one broke in the manifold to downpipe. It's proving to be an utter twat to remove. Discovered my drill bits are crap too as I tried drilling it out.

*Sigh*

New bits, some cutting fluid and more of my time to put everything back to as it was before.

Been made redundant again.

That's twice in one year.

This time as I'm still in probation it was a 2 day consultation, one week notice paid and bye!

Fuck 😞

Not at all on the same level of annoyance, but walked out of my office to get in my car yesterday and found the passenger side front window shattered. My first thought was that someone had broken in but it was still locked and the glass hadn't been knocked out. Apart from lacerating my hand removing the safety* glass it wasn't too annoying apart from the embuggerance of having to buy and fit a new pane. It was at least 20-25 degrees and not raining so the 25mile drive home wasn't too annoying.

I am currently in the process of running my car into the ground (50/50 on whether to MoT for next year) so I was trying to avoid any unnecessary expenses. Luckily I got a window glass for 32 quid delivered which amazing value given the size, weight and fragility of the thing. The main issue is that I'm flat out busy at the moment so I'm racking up big miles and as all my colleagues are also out we don't have any spare work vehicles.
