Or put them in a .zip and just send that. If the file is an OK size anyway.

SODDING WINDOWS. Have been wondering if my utterly shit broadband speed was related to the telegraph pole replacement project currently taking over our village. Nope. Up pops a 'when would you like to reboot?' window. PISS OFF! I absolutely hate that you cannot turn updates off, you can't pause a download (which you don't know is happening) and you can't personally smash your elbow into the face of whichever utter pillock gave all this the go-ahead.

Is it time to dust off Linux again?

I recently bought a new laptop for use in conjunction with my studies, largely because Windows would make it easier to use the Uni's VPN and VLE, and all my other computers are too old and shit to run modern Windows.

I expected to hate it and I do. The amount of things that I've had to resort to what is effectively hacking to achieve is ludicrous. I have yet to find a way to stop it from auto updating, and I've given up trying.

It's an excellent laptop, mind. The second my course finishes its getting wiped and Linux, just like all its predecessors.

Stuck behind some numpty in a modern Renault on the way home from work.It was 5.30,so totally dark, but the only lights he had on were the front DRLs.Every time he came to a bend,he nearly stopped as he couldn't see anything.Oncoming cars were flashing,& I had my main beam on,but he was totally oblivious

Renault.   Lights.    May well not have been his fault......

I have this argument every year with people who claim they like Brussels sprouts. I’ll get them to repeat the statement 3 times, and often commit it to paper in blood. Then I ask them the last time they ate them.

Deafening silence.

I like Brussels sprouts, they're great roasted and I last ate some a few weeks ago.

I love sprouts.

I even trained my daughter to like them when she was little.

She was a proper Daddy's girl and when first eating solids she used to like to have bits and pieces off my plate.

I wouldn't let her have sprouts......told her she wasn't big enough.

Eventually I let her have some and she loved them.......till she had been at school a while. Kids talk.

She is back on them now ...........though at 26 she still remembers

I hate sprouts. I’ve learned to like cabbage and mushrooms but still hate sprouts.

I charged up the p38 battery last weekend. It was full according to my noco charger. Go out this morning and just a clunk when turning the key.

Just put a voltmeter across the terminals and it's showing 11.8 v.

I guess that's a nakered battery then! Annoyingly, I was given a beefier battery but the terminals are the wrong way around and the leads won't stretch!

I really like sprouts.  I do.

But if you haven't had them on a low simmer since the week after Easter you've missed the boat for this Christmas...

;)

Also it is good for digestion to "take" a cupful of Sprout brine weekly.

Swear I can levitate after that! Drives Mrs theStag up the bloody wall

Grump

Christmas is just one huge fuck off balls ache for me, I dont hate it but I could easily do without it.

Currently juggling nightmare low mood (nowt like Bubbs is going through) but still a shit time and Mrs thestag threatening me with all manner of orrible shit if I dont go on "holiday" for 3 weeks in December with her and three teenage thestags who are all full on Kevins. I do love them and will do almost anything for them.

I need comfort zone, I dont need stress, last holiday was a Horrorday. she doesnt get it!

Not even like this is a recent event in my fucking life, I told her it was a maybe 6 months ago when she started planning and now she is just loading up the pressure and stress.

fuck holidays and fuck christmas

Feel for you, Mr. Stag.  Holiday AND Xmas can get in bed together at the far end of Fuckoff Land.   Jeez, that is some killer way to spend December......

Want to get rid of a few old Dvds that we've somehow acquired over the years and to save a bit of messing I thought I'd have a look at cex and see what they offer as although they're all crap the shop is always full.

1p each?? Bargain! I'll send you the lot then and make a whole 10pm. Not bothered that they sell for 50p 1p is a joke.

Who even sells them stuff?

Sprouts currently on offer at Aldi, 49p a bag ,bet they are more than that in 4 weeks !

Try us, I like DVDs and seem to forever be in charity shops buying a DVD or two. I am picky though...

I love sprouts too, even if they're just boiled.  I have stuck them into home-made lentil madras in the past...

When I get chance I'll post them all in the selling hit on the open forum :-)

Regarding all the sprout talk, I would much plenty heartily recommend Kalettes which I discovered in Tesco the other week ('cos they were in the reduced/out of date section). They're a hybrid of Kale and Sprouts and are flipping lovely. A few minutes of steaming are all they need.
