Right it's those pesky Finns again, for a country with such a small population they had a very eclectic taste in 4 wheeled bolides.

This is Töölö Sports Hall (then an Exhibition Hall) was built in 1935. The photo was taken in 1954. But what is the green car? Touch of the DS about it but I bet it's a Yank of some description.

Hudson Commodore is correct.  The side trim on the car in the photo above indicates this is a 1951 model.  Badge on the front wing touches the wheel arch.

Possibly one of these?  What's the event though?

Good point, and may, or may not help. The photo is labelled as 'Argentinian Meteor flying low in Montevideo, Uruguay'.

So could it be some sort of South American pick-up....?

Looking beyond the cats, what's the car? I'm sure the grille will give it away. To me it looks like a Lancia grille but I just can't believe that.

As a vintage car buff, I did a quick dig and it seems it is indeed a Lancia - a 20hp Gamma apparrently, but post 1911 due to there being a grille badge

Note the radiator, front and rear wings, unusual scuttle, and especially that very distinctive crescent shaped "seam" between front and rear doors:

The pic isn't too clear, but looking at a larger version gives plenty of clues:

Although I thought it was pretty obvious after a close look at the radiator, I began to doubt myself as I couldn't find an exact match online. I started going down some rabbit-holes of French cars for a while with no luck. Annoyingly I don't have my handy 1912-1913 radiator identification guide to hand today (it's a lifesaver in these situations). Luckily, books exist, and Nic Portway's big volume on early Vauxhalls confirms my suspicions: it's a 20hp, one of a fleet used by Black Cat Cigarettes. There's even a picture of a panel van in the same livery, and another identical tourer (or perhaps the same one).

Jesus. You'd need to stop for a cigarette after seeing those 3 drive past. I know I'm having nightmares tonight now.

Thanks for the dedication to dig into this, although I would have liked it to have been a Lancia deep down I thought it would be British and a Vauxhall fits the bill, the flutes along the bonnet should have been a big clue to me....
