Looks very rusty on the structural sills.

Considering it was “fully restored” before being put away in a damp barn, yes.

A Bentley grille would have been the least of it's problems had it had one

I like how it’s an ‘investment’. It might have kept its value better if he hadn’t added all the various bits of tat, and those atrocious wheels, to it.

From the long list of ‘recent work and upgrades’, the ‘AAA service’ and new discs and pads seem to be the only useful things done, although I don’t what an ‘AAA’ service is. If it’s a reference to the American version of the AA, it adds to the general impression that the bloke seems to be suffering major delusions that he actually lives in America.

Also I suspect ‘muffler delete’ equals problems at the next MOT if the local plod don’t hear it first!

Ahem - hardtop, not convertible 😉.

One of the first cars on the UK market for this body style, and a very pretty thing.

Can't believe I didn't notice that, it's been a long day...

I usually adore a Viva coupe, even better if its a Firenza, but thats lost something in translation (to my eye)

K-sealed up V8 that overheated. Need your big boy pants for this one. Not too far from you @Minimad5 iirc you like these things?

Sorry mate I didn't see your message (no notifications)

If it's just head gaskets, that could be a bargain .... all depends on how crusty the subframes and sills are

Link not working but I think that is a Firenza (though some coupe bodyshells were used up as a Viva E later on). Designed by Wayne Cherry in his time at Vauxhall - the body shape went on to produce the famous 'droop snoop' models as well.

640,000 HC made overall and I think the last car to be completely designed by the company with no input from GM Europe.

Looks fun.

[link updated - yes it's an E Coupe but has the Firenza type front grille and lamps - these were Vauxhall's answer to the Ford Capri and Marina Coupe.]

Apologies, duly corrected.
