£5k seems a good price but if it's as good as the advert suggests, why hasn't it got an MoT?

Show's as MOT'd for me.

Landsails are off putting though.

It must be an optical illusion but I always imagined the Mk3 was a bit bigger than the Mk4.

Are there any classic Ford lickers that can put me right?

Mk3-4-5 all use same shell on est ( only back wings differ on est & scuttle swage lines).

I'm still trying to work out how a 2002 van is  remotely approaching compliant in the first place?!

08 reg, I think all diesels from 2006 are compliant.

Must be interesting for the driver, sitting inches away from a dead body in a woven (and therefore presumably not airtight) coffin.  I hope they have a LOT of Magic Trees in there.

Not in the slightest.

ULEZ is Eu6 diesels from circa 2015. Even if it somehow was 2008, the van is from 2002 despite the later reg.

I'll have some of what the seller is smoking....

to be fair to him it does come up as Ulez complaint on the website. I suspect it must have been registered to someone disabled or otherwise exempt or its a glitch in the system

There are a few anomalies like that with ULEZ.  My 2007 Hyundai Getz is ULEZ compliant, despite being Euro 4.

I'll second that, my 1998 little Suzuki Swift is compliant in all but Birmingham clean air zones around the country, work that one out!
