These had ABS? And seat belt pre-tensioners? Call me cynical but I'm sceptical

There are no medium sized cars out there that are better than these. I used to own a Battleship Grey 1.6 GX hatchback R793BNB from 2003 to 2005. Awesome car, very high spec considering it was one up from bASe.  Nissan got the balance of sporty feel and refinement just right with these P11's.

the Hydraulic hose fitters favourite-unless it’s a boom hose on a tele handler *

The best thing about a JCB is that all the hydraulic hose fittings are BSP

i think Takeuchi were as well, although I could be wrong

*actually I don’t think they were that bad

We bought a JCB 3C off FleaBay years ago for £1200 as it was cheaper to do some groundworks ourselves (over time) than pay a builder. Damned thing had no brakes (drop the bucket) and the cab was so rusty that it was tied on with ratchet straps.
Buggered if I could work out the rear bucket though, coordination of a pissed slinky - my slip of nothing missus was ace on it though (too much Lara Croft on the PS1 I said) and we shifted tons of soil with the old thing - flogged it on for £750  years later and it would still start on the button.
Highly recommended for a bit of fun*

The advert reads of desperation however.

"At three years later - 18 February 1994 - Mr Bray traded his Astra in for a new Mk3 Astra GLS. This Astra was then purchased by Mr Leonard Potter and he took it home to Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire."

Fuck off you insufferable cunt.
