How does the parking brake work on these?

I have driven US automatics where it's done all on the left hand pedal, but this also has what appears to be a hand operated lever under the dashboard.

Don't know but on my Merc the left pedal put the handbrake on and a lever on the dash released it.

You're a baller but at least I've cost you some money  😂 .

The base spec goodness was too much to resist but things got ridiculous at a fiver.

I'll be seriously pissed off with you if I have to pay £5.54 for this not 99p!!

It is indeed, possibly reason alone to own one. Yamaha builds fantastic engines.

shame that Yamaha didn't build the gearboxes too, cos i remember that was where these fall down.....

Disgruntled father selling sons first car, badermatic Polo 36k on the clock. Brummie town.

Image 01 - VW Polo Automatic 36000 genuine milesYeah mate, looks alright that.....

Quote

It was purchased sitting in a London apartment car park with 30k on the clock - hence, the low mileage and amazingly clean in and out.  I paid £2,700 to get him something, slow, safe and reliable

Fair comment M9 we all want the offspring to be safe yeah?

Quote

The car was great.  Good tyres, new breaks, suspension bushes, MOT'd and serviced, etc, etc.  Unfortunately I gave it to an idiot

Well, he came out of your bollocks.... not sure I like the word "was" though.....

Quote

Last week my son reversed it into a bollard at a petrol station (I have no idea how)

So, low speed impact, it'll be a smoll scrape or a cracked bumper yeah?

Image 41 - VW Polo Automatic 36000 genuine milesFFS. Hope you kicked his mother straight in the flange.

Somebody has been putting drugs in this blokes tea. Unless I'm mistaken a 3 door Shove-it that hasn't been mot'd for 4 years, ain't worth 4 bags.  And those hubcaps can get in the sea. @DodgyBastard keep welding your pension fund awaits!

aren't 3 door shoveits like 3 door escrots?

everyone wants an escrot to put a Zetec in it and come up with a mexico clone,

and in that case,

a 3 door shoveit is, apparently, worth many £'s cos everyone wants one to put a redtop in it, and come up with a HSR clone?

personally i'd rather like to own a Marina,

or Hillman Avenger, BUT its gotta be a Hillman with hocky stick tail lamps.....

The latest in a series of rusty County Austins. This one is pretty rotten, and according to the ad he's got others, one of which is poking it's arse into the picture. If you look at sellers other items, he's got a Marina van and something else old looking in another. Anyhoo currently £58 Leamington Spa.

Oh.... dear!  What a pile of junk, and that's from Mr Softheart!

It's reached a touch over a grand, and I think that's its level.  Running off a can, off the road 30 years, no mention of the soft-top working, or any of the electrics.  It's a top luxury car, ffs!  Everything is electric or otherwise assisted, and needs to work!  And wtf happened to the trunk lid?  That's going to be no trouble to replace, yeah right.  He says no rust, but rust is one thing these are very good at, and they're monocoque, not built on a proper chassis like a Cadillac.

In summary: I'd rather have @brownnova's Trans  Sport.
